At The Craft Market

in #marketfriday5 years ago

Today I almost forgot that it's #MarketFriday, good thing I was a friend or mine's post about a very cool market.

Good thing I have this habit of taking 400 - 500 photos at these craft markets and this is how I can have photos to post each week. These photos were taken in October 2018, at the last craft market of the year. I've been posting them all autumn and winter and still have a few left.

So here I am again with a craft market post. Let's start with some handmade table cloth.

You can choose blue or red, which ever you like, there are plenty to choose from. Usually I would go for red because that's what I'm used with but in this case for some reason the blue one looks better.

IMG_20181004_163759a.jpg

This is all hand embroidered, which is a very hard work.

IMG_20181004_163748a.jpg

Just look at those artworks and think of how many hours are needed to complete the task. Not to mention how tiring it is, and the price reflects the hours of work put into the product.

IMG_20181004_163742a.jpg

Look at the vendor lady dressed up in traditional clothes.

IMG_20181004_164019a.jpg

This is a riddle for me. These paintings are not done regularly, as that is not canvas. At first I thought those are eggshells but it looks more like paper.

IMG_20181004_164043a.jpg

Dry flowers on paper. This is my kind of art. I love these compositions and would be happy to have some on my wall.

IMG_20181004_164108a.jpg

Different artwork and jewelry made of wood. I would go for that jewelry, and I guess I'm going to buy some next time.

Those dark brown sets look amazing.

Can hardly wait for the craft market season to start. There's still one month minimum till they are organizing the first one but I know already that I'm going to be there. I can't miss it.

This is my contribution to #marketfriday, hosted by Denise, @dswigle.

Tito's handmade tablecloths are absolutely spectacular. They are so perfect live in that they lick machine done, however I know for a fact that they are not. I usually select red in this type of tablecloth but for some reason the blue is really catching my eye. The hand embroidery is so painstaking to make each Stitch so perfect. Each and every one of these is so beautiful and I am in how much work they put into these and how little some people want to pay for them. They are pieces of Art. And I believe that they demand to be paid art prices.

And then as soon as I roach that, just below you said how it was artwork and how the price reflects the hours of work. Oh my God! I wrote that before I read it. So we both think it and so it must be the truth. I like the tenders when they wear the traditional clothes. It shows it off nicely and it also shows how well it fits.

My mother used to dry flowers and adhere them to the paper it really was a lot more work than what it looks and it takes a lot of time but to me they're very beautiful and I have a couple of them still but she did. The woodwork as interesting as is the basket work and I like the heart with the flower in it. It's kind of different. Well I must say that you truly do a wonderful Market whether you are prepared or not. Thank you for putting forth the effort and I really appreciate you supporting me in the way that you do.

I'm always glad to read that you liked my post. MarketFriday has a special place in my heart and I really plan everything ahead, unless things go crazy and i don't have time.

But good thing I have this crazy habit of taking 400 - 500 photos at craft fairs like these and always have something to post :)

Always love looking at this craft work i myself actually like the blue table cloth. I can only imagine how many hours go into marking them so beautiful :)

I'm glad you like it and you're right, it is hard work and it's not really paid well. All people see is the high price but they don't think for a second how hard it is to do a tablecloth like that.

Thanks for stopping by and have a nice weekend my friend 😉

Yep a lot of time and patience involved and people don't stop to think about that at all.

You have a great weekend also my friend :)

Oh, I love the wooden jewelry! It looks cool!

Me too, I'm going to buy some :)

hee hee :)))) yes, I also love to take a large number of photos in places where we go :)))) it's great that you made them so much otherwise I would not see these beautiful earrings and pendants made of wood. I also love these jewelry very much. when we visit our husband's parents in Western Ukraine, I always try to buy myself some of this. I have several sets of earrings and several beads from different woods. when they were new they smelled amazingly

I agree, when you go to a fair like that you have to make the most of it, especially if you're a #marketfriday addict as we are. We have to think about the future so we can have plenty of photos to post during the year 😀
@dswigle, our lovely Denise had a wonderful idea with this Marketfriday challenge, not only she gave us an idea about what to post on Friday but also has thought us to look for these fairs and pay attention to many details.
Those earrings are indeed beautiful, I have a whole list of what I want to buy this year when these fairs start. The list is already as long as my arm and getting longer every day 😀
Thanks for the lovely comment dear @tali72 and have a nice day.
