What Are You Chasing Anyway?

I was just reading posts on steemit. And something caught my attention that I would like to share with all of you.

A man had a stroke!

He is a retired project manager and war veteran. He retired two years ago to a relatively comfortable lifestyle. This past Sunday he had a stroke which left him partially paralyzed on his left side.

We all want to have a better life. That's the main reason we work so hard. There is no alternative of working hard. If you really want to do something in life, you have to put your 100% effort and talents on it.

But if you are so obsessed to get the next thing as if you forget the present moment, then this is not good. You miss everything what's going on right now.

We all are in different stages of life. If you are a student, all you want is to get good grades. If you finish your academic studies, you want to get your dream job.

Do you think you will be happy to get the next thing?
If yes, then why are you not fully satisfied after getting that? What are you chasing anyway?

If you only focus to get the next thing, you will not be fully satisfied at the present moment. Stay in present because that's where you really are. Be happy for what you have right now and then go for the next thing.

Sometimes we say, "I'm too old to learn these new stuffs." Well, you are never too old to learn something new. As I mentioned the retired old man at the beginning of this post, I'm so inspired to see him on steemit. He had a stroke, still he let the whole world know about it by making a post on steemit using speech to text software. If he can learn and do something new, so can you.
