Depression is a mental depressive disorder that comes with sadness, regret, hate, feeling of emptiness and feeling of hopelessness. If you feel depressed then you already know what it feels like, so this post is about solutions. Often times we are asked to look for help, talk to someone, etc but its harder than than. So this post is about helping yourself, that is, fixing yourself by yourself.

5 Ways To Deal With Depression Yourself

(1) EAT HEALTHY

Depression can reduce your appitite making you go for a whole 48 hours without even bothering to eat. Sometimes when guilt or regret is the cause of yoyr depression, you dont eat just to purnish yourself. But if you want to fight depression, you have to eat and eat healthy. This gives your brain, organs and your body generally the energy to fight depression.

(2) EXERCISE REGULARY

The rate at which exercising regularly can help you fight depression can never be underestimated. Whether a simply walk for minutes around (if you are old), jogging around the street, taking boxing lessons, yoga or even hitting the gym, it helps keep your mind active. While you working out, picture depression like a human and imagine kicking his ass with every rep you do.

(3) EXPRESS YOURSELF

When you are depressed, your head is like a file that has been corrupted. Its all messed up and you have so many things running through your mind, so many questions and doubts. But you have to find a way to express these thoughts and feelings. What is go on facebook, add a random person, chat her up and just tell her how i feel. I scream at her, ask questions, cry and block her at the end of the day.

(4) NOTICE THE GOOD THINGS

Depression somehow makes you focus and dwell on the negative especially when regret is the reason for your depression. But there is always a bright side to look at. Focus on the basic things you have, like you life, your health, your parents, your family, kids, even your two legs and eyes. What i do is to think about people that am better than... It makes me feel better. It might work for you.

(5) DO NOT ISOLATE YOURSELF

A good way to fight depression is to occupy yourself and your mind with good people and good vibes. Go out and meet people, go to the church and pray, go to parties and dance, go to the movies and relax. For personally, i occupy my mind by praying music, but be careful not to play slow songs or blues. For me, i play trap music and they give me good vibes to fight depression and i also joined an amature football club.

These are the ways that i fight depression myself. Depression is an illness and should be treated as such. You shouldn't wait for no one to fix you, instead you should make efforts to fix yourself by yourself and that is what this post is about.
