Don't get it twisted with the image i used in this post. Being a mature guy isn't about having beards, or about appearance. Being mature is about having the wisdom on the best possible way to react to a situation and it's often tested in relationships. Any way, no matter how i put it, this topic is always more complicated than it sounds, which is why i have prepared 6 important things i feel mature guys don't do.

(1) They Do Not Run Away From Advices.

Mature guys accepts and listen to advices. Remember i said earlier that maturity is about having the wisdom to react to a situation? So how are you gonna have such wisdom if you don't listen to other viewpoints? Mature guys listens to advices and decides which to take, discard or use at a point in time. Its just like having a room full of weapons but decides which to use in a particular battle.

(2) They Do Not Run Away From Their Problems

Mature men don't shy away from their problems either by procrastination or by blaming others for their problems. Mature guys take responsibity of their actions wether good or bad. They do not abandon you when you need them most, instead the stick with you come rain or sunshine. They look for solutions to their problem and they are not too proud to ask for help from people more knowlegeable than them cause thats how you learn.

(3) They Do Not Make You Feel Unwanted.

I have heard a lot of relationship advicers on blogs and youtube asking Men not to give their partners too much attentions, or silly advices like letting your partner do all the chasing and hardwork while you play busy and hard to get. Only jerks and cun men that does that kind of thing. A real mature guy doesn't have time for such games. A mature guy will never play with people's feelings especially that of his partner.

(4) They Aren't Scared Of Showing Emotions

Mature guys are not scared of showing emotions or expressing his feelings. They reason why most guys are scared of showing their emotions to people or to their partner is because they think it portrays them as weak and its only a woman that is allowed to show emotions. This notion is wrong as any mature guy should know that in any relationship, feelings matter as they help you understand others and connect with them on a deeper level.

(5) They Don't Live To Please Others

Mature guys have attained the level where they no longer live to please others because they are mature enough know whats good for them. They wear what they want to wear, they eat what they want to eat, they do what they want to do without pressure. Being mature is realizing that you don't have to care about what people say about you behind your back and don't have to care about what people think of you.

(6) They Don't Live Reckless Lifestyles.

Being mature again means understanding that you have to plan for the future and not just live in the moment. You understand you have to save for rainy days and you have to save for your future kids, or future family. It means getting rid of that You Only Live Once (YOLO) mentality. Simply it means realizing the consequencies of your actions and realizing the things you stand to loose tomorrow when you live a reckless life today.

So personally for me, these are the 6 things i feel mature guys don't do. It is important i address this because from what i've said above, i sound like a mature guy is a perfect guy. No! A mature guy isn't a perfect guy. A mature guy is a guy that has seen the other side of life, taken bad decisions and has fallen, but yet stands up but this time wiser and determined and equiped not to make the same mistakes again.
