Youth,Beauty,Health, if only seaweed could make us wealthy it would be perfect (Although to be fair many a scottish laird ate haggis all winter on the tidy profits to be made on seaweed as fertilizer before the mass importation of guano.).
In todays article we'll see why eating seaweed will preserve your youthful good looks, heal your body, prevent many dangers of the modern world while providing optimal nutrition four you, your family and any animal under your care.

If you care about your looks then seaweed should be your best friend. Seaweed combats the onset of grey hair. The most noticable affect is a lustrous shine that seaweed imbues your hair with.

If you want clear healthy skin seaweed will nourish your skin increasing its elasticity. Do your nails always break? With seaweed you'll grow strong shiny nails (I have been asked if I just had a manicure to which I replied "no I just cut my nails with a clipper").
Now we come to a topic that almost everyone I know thinks about more than they need to, weight. Whether you think your too fat or too skinny seaweed will take that load off or help you to stack it on.
If weight loss is your goal you will find your metabolism can be reset to a healthier level. Seaweed will lubricate your joints to get you out and moving and it will boost your energy levels too.
When gaining weight is your struggle seaweed increases nutrient absorption and increases appetite.
When bald patches start to appear never fear seaweed is here! Sorry not male pattern baldness but when stress is causing you to to lose patches of hair seaweed will grow that hair back. It's worked for every cat I gave it to so far.
Your stomach and its lower eschelons will be well lubricated with the inclusion of the sea's Vegetable bounty. Whether it's some wakame in your soup or some Dulce in your DLT (dulce, lettuce and tomato sandwich)
Seaweed will heal stomach ulcers the fiber will End constipation.
If you suffer from hyperthyroidism seaweed is contraindicated (which means you shouldn't take it or if you do it should be in modest amounts). My friend who had hyperthyroidism benefited greatly from a high quality evening primrose oil. If however you have hypothyroidism Seaweed is an absolute must.
My favourite source of herbal wisdom is Susun S. Weed and her book Healing wise goes into great detail on this herb. Living on the Pacific ocean this next use of seaweed is so important that I'm going to quote directly from her book

Superb protection from modern pollutants , heavy metals, and accidental radioactive leaks is the gift of seaweed, the body guard. Regular use, especially of brown types, clears lead, arsenic, cadmium, mercury, chemical pollution, and radioactive strontium from the body, prevents absorption from new sources, and protects against damage caused by exposure to carcinogens and teratogens.
Workers at Swedish nuclear power plants eat seaweed to reduce and eliminate their absorption of strontium 90, a radioactive element. Research at Mcgill University finds that alginic acid, one of the main components of seaweed, binds with radioactive strontium to form strontium alginate, an insoluble compound, which is rapidly elminated from the gastro-intestinal tract, reducing the absor[tion of strontium 90 by fifty to ninety percent.
Strontium 90, released in nuclear accidentss as well as in the running of nuclear power plants,has a high affinity for calcium-rich foods such as milk (including mother's milk) and leafy greens. Eat these contaminated foodstuffs and the radioactivity, now combined with calcium, enters the bone marrow where it can damage delicate immune and blood cells. Consistently eating seaweed helps eliminate any radioactive particles already absorbed, repairs damage to the bone marrow, and prevents further absorption of strontium 90.

If you " ain't got the minerals"(quote from Snatch) then seaweed will give them to you. Of the major minerals seaweed contains plenty of calcium, magnesium, potassium and iodine. It also takes care of your trace mineral needs. As for vitamins it has generous amounts of the vitamins A, B, C, D, E, and K.
There is no more sure-fire way to easily improve your health good looks and vitality than to include seaweed in your diet. You could eat any of the many seaweed based foods or you could simply include a little kelp powder in your food. My favourite way to eat kelp powder is to sprinkle it on my avocado sandwich something about the avocado kelp combo is very delicious!
