I sat on a bench, having to my ears only one of the 2 headphones.As always occupied with the sky and lost in another crazy story from those i come up with to “kill” my monotony and my loneliness.

While the monotony continued to drown me and time was passing by,an old man around 70 to 75 came and sat next to me.
At the beginning it seemed that he is not in the mood to speak too

Then he just smiled , opened the journal, wore his glasses and began reading.

In the absolute silence, turns sharply and asked me:
-How old are you

I felt extremely scared at the beginning but i did come back quickly.

-In a few months I am getting 18

Toured the head down and began to speak to me with a smile on his face as those preceding before tears of joy.

-Would you ever die for love?, he asked me.

Strange question I know... at the beginning i thought he might be crazy, or that he may be suffering from some some kind of mental illness.

-I don't know,i suppose yes,but i can’t say with certainty

He laughed at a low tone and again He looked like he was going to ask me something else too.

-When i was at your age,I didn’t care if was going to die. I was in love.I was afraid of nothing,i didnt care for anything,only for her.To be well and happy. I would sacrifice my self for the most ridiculous reason as long as she was happy.Don’t be afraid my son.I am not crazy. That is the way it should be love, and not as you were taught.This is true love.Spoil your image,sing her a song on 4 in the morning when all lying,walk hand by hand in every street each narrow,shout at her when she harms herself and don’t be scared to say what you feel.

-One day my boy,she will be gone and will not be able to say anything. Your face will be old and you will not be able to run around and nor to shout.

-Without restrictions without any doubts.That is what most people do and eventually...

-Be a prisoner of love and have the courage to shout it.Be proud. Through the eyes of love you will see the world as you imagine. Only when you are in love you will see the best side of yourself. You will feel what happiness is

-It felt like as if the largest University professor was speaking to me. But even this title was short

I felt his pain behind all those words. I felt he had experienced so many and spoke from experience

I just couldn’t hold myself and after 5 minutes of silence i asked him:

-Have you experienced this true love?

He looked upwards, he stood upright, closed the journal and told me:

-I lived, lost and now just waiting to meet her again... somewhere else.

-Go out there and fall in love. And not because a strage old grandfather which has no longer left much time tells you so. Do it for you. Because love is the only thing in life you can share with someone else and can still call it your own

Two months later, I saw clipped onto a column,the paper for his funeral.
Ps:And so for the history,the column was in the park that i met him
