⏺ Climbing the ladder of success! My opinion! Part 1

I know there are many opinions out there about how to do things in life, and I respect them all. Here, however, I am going to be discussing specifically my opinion on how to best approach life, and how to make the best of any situation.
In this post series, I will start the topic off, in Part 1 and 2, with the general approach to life, specifically with my philosophy. I will then continue this topic, in Part 3, with my opinion towards how you can use this approach towards Steemit, and make the best of your opportunity here.
So, let's begin. I think the 'ladder to life' can be described in many different ways. It's meaning to one person, could be very different to how another person could describe it.
Regardless of what your 'ladder' description may be, I still think there are a few key concepts that could universally help them all.
Having an open-minded approach to the things you do on a daily basis could work wonders.
I think the skill of being able to take criticism can be one of the most valuable traits a person could possess. With the power of taking other people's opinions seriously, you give yourself leverage over 80% of other people. Why? Because I think less than 20% of people are open-minded enough to not get offended from criticism. I may be slightly off, but that number could even be less.
It takes a certain amount of emotional intelligence, in my opinion, to be able to be open-minded enough to grow from your experiences. That's why most people do not.
This one could be an attachment to the previous point about being open-minded. You need to be open-minded to be coachable.
So what's the difference then? Well, being open-minded means that you take criticism in a mature manner. However, that is just the 'absorbing' part. You just consider other people's opinions that way. With being coachable, you are submitting yourself to someone who has acquired more success than you have.
Being coachable is the part where you truly grow as a person. By doing this, you are able to become an extension of any people you feel like becoming. By doing the things someone else is doing, you have a great change of getting very similar results.
This also takes a certain amount of emotional intelligence, as it can be quite a daunting experience without the proper discipline.
More than how much my posts can make, I care far more about getting my content in front of newer faces. So if you would like to show your appreciation, you can share this with others!

Open mindedness is the begin to allow to get coached. There is so much we can learn from others who already walked a path before. Collaborative exchange of how to grow leads to more growth fro everybody. Combined with Steemit you grow a network of supporters while supporting your network.

This is very beautiful approach to life. I would add that you don't forget to remember he who pushed you up the ladder for you will need him when coming down. More seriously, the coaching point is really important - if someone is not coachable then they have little use in the workplace

Oopsie back to comment, thank u for posting another series to great motivational advice, our ladders of life is filled with many exciting moments, some with motivation from people which u shouldnt pust away i think after reaching success and some criticisms . most humans if not all dont take well to them, i think however instead of being bothered about it in a bad way we should develop an attitude that lets peoples critics motivate us and be a source of strength to prove us to be better and reach our goals.

Definitely, we need to allow our critics to motivate us. Also, just knowing that it is just someone else's opinion. The end game factor always remains your choice. Just having that maturity to be able to kindly take any feedback, that can be a game changer :)

Success is what it means to you. That could be money, fame or charity. Whatever makes you happy. The ladder to success all depends on the goal you set. The higher the goal the more ambitious and persistent you become. Do something that you love that challenges you.

There is no one single definition, but rather what we make of it.
For me, success is being able to challenge myself, and achieving those goals.
Being open-minded and being CURIOUS seem to be related, and at the core of this issue. Being curious (like the mythical Pandora and her box) tends to lead us through high and low places, but BOTH of these ultimately bring us to a deeper, and more refined, understanding of life. Many people live shallow, boring lives because they are low in curiosity, and so they don't challenge themselves to explore positive and negative experiences. This has been my experience as a more adventurous person...

I like to take on board mentors advice and tweak it to suit my own thoughts. I am always open to other's opinions and experience, but sometimes your path is slightly different from theirs and needs to be tailored to your own beliefs. my ethos is whatever you do in life, enjoy the journey and don't leave a trail of destruction behind you! :D

With that being said, your approach of tailoring the opinions from other's is a great idea!
More than accepting the criticism implies that they are giving us the tools to improve, it means that we are doing it well and that we could do better and thus be able to climb the ladder. But just giving my humble opinion. Great post, as always. You're awesome! :D
