This hard life living in a city making you always finding a way to improve your life. Everything has become expensive nowadays, and since I like to travel much to relieve my stress, my country’s currency not helping much. Therefore, having to find another job will help.

I definitely did not want to change job but the other reason I’m finding one is because the ongoing drama in my team making me feel like a sin going to work every single day.

That’s two reason why I went to find another job.

The job that I always wanted to do is to be able to travel the world and see opportunities while meeting great people. I certainly knows it is a great opportunity here in Steemit but as a minnow, making ends meet is through working right now.

There’s a lot of full-time Steemians story I read, all are inspiringly motivating, however, I think it takes more time for me. My progress so far has been OK but not that encouraging.

Salary is what they pays you to forget your dream

I always remember this quote, I got it somewhere in the net. How’s this for a quote huh?. We have this energy and drive yet we used it for the benefits of others/company. my plan is, if I were offered this position, this will be my transit to become a full time Steemians. My only hope is that the new work does not consume a lot of my energy making me forget to blog here.

Or Should I Consider Further My Studies?

This plan has been considered lately between me and my best buddy/ travel partner. We were both quite unhappy with our job but we have alot of commitments (monetarily to self and family). Without a job, we will be driving UBER for food.

One more thing came in as a consideration of this plan is the peer pressure we both endured particularly around our society and our relatives .We were both not married and was pressured by relatives to get married like our cousins did (whateverrrrr!), and both splurged on travel which then were perceived as ‘lavish spender’ though we travel cheap— they don’t care about that.

I can say that we shouldn’t care but they way we are in ASIA is that we are quite close to family. That is when the study abroad thingy came to our mind.

As For Now

Now, what I will do is to improve myself day by day, in this platform and in life so that the road i’m going to choose will be clearer as I can see it.

This is what makes me worried about getting into the working phase 🤔 Altho thats like in another 5 years, I am already worrying abt the drama i will be facing 😂
And about studying abroad to avoid being judged for travelling and getting married late, i dont think thats gonna work 😅 From what i hear, families and relatives will still expect us to settle down asap.
But maybe if we work abroad instead, we will have more freedom to decide what to do with our own lives? I thought about this alot and i think the only way to avoid my life being controlled is to build a life as far as possible from families or relatives. Not saying that we shud abandon them tho. We can always visit them.

Welcome to my world! You r way to young to get stress over this @vaelriey , however you will end like me! I’m stressed out over life!

Yeah you are right, studying or working abroad does not mean we cut ties with our family. Some time distance can preserve relationship.

Hmmmmm we have much in common dear! But don’t stressed out early over this. One step at a time

Hahahaha im worrying about it now to avoid stress later. 😂 I was just thinking "what do i really wanna do in the future?" "Am i living my life or others'?". But you are right! I shud enjoy my present 😂

On the crossroad of life. I understand that dilemma completely because the majority of people would have to encounter this dilemma at least once in their life. I said majority because there are some people who are born with silver spoon and perhaps don't have to lift a finger to earn a living.

I would say no option is easy.

If I hadn't get married I would be living somewhere other than Malaysia. My last employer offered that option, that we could choose to work at any branches anywhere in the world. Looking back there are regrets but alas I can't get whatever I want in this life. Something gotta give.

I hope the interview went well for you :)

Thanks for sharing your story. My interview went well.

This dilemma that I had, I guess many people experience it at least once in their life. Questioning their future lol. Yes , we can’t have everything in our life. People like us — who does not born with silver spoon in our mouth have only one choice. That is too work hard for the path that we take.

Study has its limitations, unless you are becoming a specialist or networking with a really special group of people.

I'd go for the work and, if you are still inclined to learn, study part time (especially if your employer will pay) or join a group of something that interests you. :)
Just my 2 Steems worth.
Nice post.

Thanks @jagged ! Appreciate you coming and talk to me LOL. I was wondering to study coding , how’s that sound? Something new to me will bring me lot of enthusiasm .

But, its quite expensive to learn, I know we can learn it online but for me hands on with teacher is the best way to learn.

Aaaa I have to go for this interview for the time being.

Good luck with the interview.

Coding? Maybe. If that is something you enjoy. Is it a new skill for you or improving an existing skill?

New skill for me to acquire! i think its fun lol

A bad working environment is definitely very draining. Was wondering, what is your field? There may be opportunities for you to apply for scholarships overseas.

I’m in banking. Was thinking to apply scholarship overseas . Hmmmmmmmmmm I may got this position by the way

I guess congrats? Anyways, if you do want to, I have friends who went studying/fruit picking/working in Australia and New Zealand. Somewhat like a working-studying-holiday. All the best!!
