Last time we learnt how the oiligarchs manipulated the study of history in American education.
Today we will learn how the medical industry was transformed by oiligarchs.
Nobody is surprised that the oiligarchs found a way to profit from the changes that they orchestrated. John D. Rockefeller had inspiration from "Devil" Bill.
William Rockefeller had dubbed his snake oil "Nujol" for "new oil". Standard Oil spun off this product with a laxative sold under their Stanco subsidiary.
Manufactured just like "Flit", an insecticide created from Standard Oil waste products. "Nujol" was sold for 28 cents for every six ounce bottle. The cost to manufacture the product was less than one-fifth of a cent per bottle.
A Naturopathic Nation
Pharmaceuticals were the obvious industry to be intruded by oiligarchs, however this was the turn-of-the-century America and people still were mostly using herbal remedies to cure their ailments.

Institute Of Medical Research
1901 marks the year when the Institute of Medical Research was established by John D. Simon Flexner (pathology professor) was recruited to direct the Institute. Simon's brother Abraham was an educator contracted by the Carnegie Foundation to write a report on the state of America's medical education system.
Abraham's study, dubbed the Flexner Report, came with a tidal wave of hundreds of millions of dollars that were amassed by oiligarchs to fund medical research which resulted in a complete overhaul of the American medical system.
Naturopathic Medicine Stood No Chance
Naturopathy and homeopathic medicine seemed liked quackery when compared to drug-based allopathic medicine requiring expensive medical procedures and lengthy hospital stays.
The fortunes of Carnegie, Morgan and Rockefeller financed surgery, radiation and synthetic drugs.
Once Again Education Is Key
The takeover of the medical industry was accomplished by the takeover of medical schools. You may suspect this was done by "donations" to the schools - you are right.
Carnegie and Rockefeller agreed to a few conditions with the schools that agreed: We’re giving you all this money, now would it be too much to ask if we could put some of our people on your Board of Directors to see that our money is being spent wisely?’ LINK
Too Easy
Overnight all major universities received outrageous grants from these sources and agreed to have one, two or even three people from Rockefeller on their Board of Directors. Just like that a large portion of the medical education system was taken over by financial interest from oiligarch's money.
The school's received money, they built new buildings, were able to buy expensive equipment for their labs and their teachers were top-notch!
The only thing was that the direction of their education of science headed in the direction of pharmaceutical drugs.
Next time we will learn how the oligarchs used their reformed medical industry to create mustard gas treatments for cancer patients.
