Great inventor

in #life7 years ago

Hello everyone.

Today's tale of a great inventor, artist and thinkers of the Renaissance. Leonardo da Vinci (do not confuse with the turtle-nijia)

Leonardo was born on April 15, 1452, in Florence.

Father tried to attach Leonardo to the profession of a lawyer, but without success: his son was not interested in the laws of society.

Leonardo was more attracted to drawing and sculpture. In his youth, he also studied drawing, chemistry, metallurgy, working with metal, gypsum and leather, this knowledge later helped him in his work on inventions. During his lifetime, Leonardo was known primarily as an artist and sculptor. Only at the end of the 19th century were the records of his theoretical studies published for the first time, they contained a description of the mysterious and incomprehensible at that time apparatuses, which are now well known to us. I will describe only some of his studies that could not be done in his time, because of the low level of technology.

Most of all Leonardo attracted the idea of aeronautics. Watching the birds, he tried to create a wing in the image and likeness of a bird's wing.

The device developed by him was set in motion with the help of wings, which were raised and lowered due to the rotation of the pedals by the pilot. The experiment with the bird's wing was unsuccessful and Leonardo went over the development of a hang glider and built the first prototype. In 2002, British scientists built a hang glider according to Leonardo's drawings and the man was able to climb this hang glider in the air to a height of 10 meters and stay in the air for 17 seconds.

Also it is possible to name Leonardo as the first inventor of the helicopter, it became the first flying machine which the scientist suggested. The helicopter had to take off with the help of 4 people who were supposed to propel a screw made of cloth, but in calculations Leonardo made many serious mistakes and this helicopter would never come off the ground.

Even one simple invention of Leonardo we use today. This invention is a parachute.

In 2008, the Swiss Tepp successfully landed using a parachute made on Leonardo's notes, although it was necessary to use modern materials.

Who do you think invented the car? German engineers? No, the first car was invented by the Italian Leonardo da Vinci. He came up with the prototype of a modern car, it was a self-propelled vehicle, it had three wheels, the rear wheels were rotating independently of each other.

In 2004, the Italians built a car invented by Leonardo and forced him to move around.

Let me briefly list his inventions that the army uses.

Tank, the inventor developed a design resembling a tortoise, with projectiles protruding from the shell. The main problem was how to move this structure, Leonardo supposed to do this with the help of people inside that would use levers to move the tank. For that time, the idea was too revolutionary, and until the engine was invented, it could not be effective.

The machine gun is also the invention of a great scientist, in fact it was a multi-barreled gun. On the rotating platform were three rows of rifles, eleven in each row, the trunks were pointed in different directions and the machine gun had wheels for easy movement.

The list of inventions can be continued for a long time, I will simply list them: a diving suit, a submarine, a mine, a bearing, a mechanical ladder, a quick-fire crossbow, steam weapons, and this is not a complete list.

In this post I described only the inventions left to us by Leonardo, besides inventions he created still beautiful paintings, the most famous of which is "Mona Lisa" is still controversial, attracts attention and excites imagination with its mysterious smile.

Some of it is really cool!

are not some of the pictures in Galileo's works? true or false?

All pictures on the works of Leonardo, no licenses are required

well, at that time many geniuses competed for each other to gain recognition about their research.
great post do you have, very informative for me.

I did not mention in my post that Leonardo borrowed some of the ideas for his inventions from some records to which he had access, but he still remains a great inventor, thank you for your feedback
