๐ Nakji Bokkeum ๋์ง๋ณถ์
Nakji Bokkeum, ๋์ง๋ณถ์, also known as spicy stir-fried octopus, is a popular Korean dish made by stir-frying small pieces of octopus with a spicy sauce made of gochujang (Korean chili paste), garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sugar, and other seasonings.
To prepare Nakji Bokkeum, fresh or frozen octopus is cleaned and cut into bite-sized pieces. The octopus is then boiled in water or cooked in a pan until it is tender. Next, the spicy sauce is prepared by mixing together gochujang, minced garlic and ginger, soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, and other seasonings such as rice wine or vinegar.
Once the sauce is ready, the cooked octopus pieces are added to the pan and stir-fried with the sauce until the octopus is well coated and the sauce is heated through. Vegetables such as sliced onions, carrots, and scallions can also be added to the stir-fry for added flavor and texture.
Nakji Bokkeum is usually served hot with a bowl of steamed rice and other side dishes such as kimchi or pickled vegetables. The dish is known for its spicy and savory flavor, with the tender and chewy octopus pieces providing a unique texture. It is a popular dish in Korean restaurants and is also commonly cooked at home for special occasions or as a comfort food.
