USA! Get ready for a BTS Invasion!
BTS!
Have you heard of them? BTS (방탄소년단) is an extremely popular K-pop group. They originate from South Korea, and this month they will be in America to actually perform on a top Music Awards program. If you were unaware, last year this group also came to the U.S. to win and accept an award at the Billboard Music Awards. They won the Top Social Media Artist Award for 2017, and to the dismay of the K-pop audience (Yes there was a huge K-pop audience at that thing), they did not perform. However, the time is now!
It is Official! North America is about to be blown away by BTS
I am beyond myself at the moment. I am so super excited, and I wish I lived in the Western part of the U.S. at the moment since this is where they will be performing. Wait. What?! I didn't tell you which program they will be performing on? Well, here it goes...
The AMA's (American Music Awards)
I am very aware that this is an American Award show, but, I am so excited that my boys, BTS, will finally be showing what they can do to the rest of the world, and on a USA stage! It is unbelievable how big of a fan base is in North America, but to be honest, the whole reason they are performing and were invited to perform at the AMA's is because of the fans.
Who is BTS?
I have covered this topic before because let's face it, I love K-pop and am also a huge fan of BTS. So much of a fan that I would consider myself an ARMY (It is their loyal fanbase name). I will admit that while I type this out, I am actually listening to their songs right now. Anyways, let's continue.
BTS is a 7-member boy group. They came onto the music scene about 4 years ago and skyrocketed in popularity. Take a look at these guys:
Why are they so popular?
Their music is amazing
Their dances are absolutely amazing
They are always on point with their moves and always so powerful
They strive so hard for their fans and really work themselves to the bones
They are not afraid to talk about real subjects
They are so thankful to and for their fans
They are constantly communicating with their fans through social media
The group has an amazing bond
They help create their songs
They are handsome
They are funny
They put on one hell of a show
What can we expect of BTS' performance?
Powerful magnificence. They will be showing some great synchronized choreography to a wonderfully different song compared to what North American's are used to. Yes, it will be almost completely in Korean. Embrace it and enjoy it, it certainly will be fun.

Extra Special Stuff
Extra! Extra! read all about it! Actually, it will be more like Watch all about it. Starting to like K-pop and maybe BTS a little bit more? Or, just secretly interestest or intrigued and want to see a bit more?
Well, good news for you as BTS is also going to be seen on your favorite talk shows. BTS has appearances scheduled for both Jimmy Kimmel Live and The Ellen Show. It should be a very fun time to see them on both shows. I will say though that even though they are from South Korea, one of the members is quite fluent in English so it should be good to watch.

Thanks @topkpop for providing information about k-pop. I'm basically one of the k-pop fans. The first song I liked was "because i am stupid" by SS501 which was popular in my country (Indonesia) for being the soundtrack of the Serial TV "BBF". That's when I started looking for other k-pop songs. I honestly do not like Korean boy bands because they look more like women. They like to show off something overwhelming, I really do not like it. But I can not lie that I really like their songs even though I do not like their style. Only personal opinion. :)
Yes for sure we all have our own personal opinions and preferences when it comes to looks and such, but I like that you are open to and appreciate their songs even though you may not like them perse. Music is wonderful no matter who is making it. Great to see another Kpop fan on here!
Judging by comments to your post, there're very little kpoppers here on Steemit, which is sad. I need more steemians that like kpop so that I could discuss my fave oppas with them!.. But before that I kinda fell out out of kpop myself so I need to get back to it. lol just joking (^∀^')

A group not only get recognition in America but like you mentioned also making such a big impact even though they are from a small company. I love the fact that they didn't come from one of the major 3, even though I like those companies anyways, it is just makes this whole thing even better. I know Rap Monster is practicing his English again with all of this coming up soon, I am excited to see all of this, just wish I could see some

Great song choice by the ways. Yes the Kpoppers on here seem to be few at the moment, hopefully that changes in time. I love talking about all of it so you will definitely see me talking about it from time to time and in that regard I hope to see you chatting about it with me.

WOW that is a big deal for them to play at the AMA's I will admit I am not really a fan of Kpop but i did listen to the first song and I conceed it is fairly catchy :)
That's how it hooks you in. The catchiness. I have found a few times where there was a song I didn't like and the somehow it made its way into my brain and never left. It is going to be amazing and I think turn a few more people into the light of K-pop and its awesomeness.

I must admit, knowing that Kpop actually existed was about the sum of my knowledge on the subject. It's not a genre I would turn to on my own, but it kind of grows on you, doesn't it?
It's a shame I understand nothing of the lyrics but the tunes I've listens to so far, thanks to you, do make for easy listening.
