I woke up this morning feeling motivated to sing again, so I warmed up my vocal cords this time (totally rushed into things yesterday and skipped the warm-ups...which any serious singer will tell you is a big no-no if you're actually trying to sing well, haha) and got to work right away.

I was feeling this weird depressive lonely funk last night, and some of that lingered this morning, so I decided to sing a more somber song today. Donnie Darko is one of my favorite movies of all time, and I just love the Gary Jules version of "Mad World" that is widely associated with that film, so it seemed like a natural choice for me to sing it this morning.
