I'm Yana. The anniversary of my city.

Hello everybody! I'm Yana. Today I want to briefly talk about their city. June 30 Obninsk in which I live is 60 years old. My city very young. Obninsk arose in the land, where more than 7000 years ago on the banks of the river Protva settled primitive people. This was the era of the Neolithic. There are archaeological sites in the city. These lands belonged to the most illustrious Russian birth: Belkin boyars, oprichnik M. Skuratov, Tsar Boris Godunov, Prince Dolgoruky, Count Vorontsov and Buturlin, and since 1840 - the landlords Obninsk. In honor of their city and got its name. My great-grandfather Eugene F. lived and worked in Obninsk in 1956. He worked as a teacher of physics and mathematics in high school. In 1965 he became a professor of Physics and Mathematics Department of the Obninsk branch of Moscow Engineering Physics Institute, who later became INPE MEPhI. And, despite the fact that in 1983 Eugene F. retired, he continued to work in his native department, yet remained forces. The number of his students thousands of people. My great-grandfather founded the Municipal Museum of Local Lore, the great-grandfather was awarded the title of Honorary Citizen of the City. He wrote several books about the history of our city.
