The USA is stuck in an infinite loop that results in more gun sales every time.

Mass shooting. Manufactured hysteria. Repeat arguments about the 2nd amendment.

Lather, rinse, repeat. It never fails to bump the sales.

Anyone that takes the time to understand gun violence in America can plainly see that suicide and inner-city gangs are the biggest problem areas. Yet this is rarely discussed.

School shootings, or any mass shootings are the result of failed security. 100% of the time. Each case is unique and so each case deserves individual scrutiny. But either a person or at least a policy has failed when someone shoots up a school.

Many schools today have security resource officers (SRO) on site. Just recently in Maryland one of these officers was forced to confront an active shooter in a school and a mass school shooting was averted.

The SRO is a practical solution that is simply being enacted in schools across the country with no national debate required.

That's why I think an SRO in every public school should be on the nations agenda.

Instead, we are stuck in this rut. And I blame the legacy media for they manufacture the hysteria and repeat arguments about the 2nd amendment like fucking robots. And people jump right in to the old familiar debates and repeat that same tired bullshit.

Meanwhile, cops are armed to the teeth with military surplus everything on a hair trigger for your routine traffic stop. We're under complete surveillance. Our every movement tracked. Our habits modeled. Our faces recognized. We seem to have accepted this as the cost of living in this society.

Maybe it's time we at least demand results.

When security fails to stop a shooter we should outraged. Each case should be investigated for how and where the security failed. So that security can be improved.

And when security does not fail, we should take notice and widely adopt those practices.

I reject the old debate outright. And I encourage everyone to do the same. It's time for new conversations.
