Intro: Hiya Steemit! I’m Ryan.
My crypto-genius roommate told me about steemit and I’ve been hooked ever since. I'm a bit of a noob, still learning how everything works, and trying to learn more about cryptocurrency, but from what little I know, I'm very excited and ready to dive in!
I grew up in Morrison, Colorado and am currently a freelance designer and illustrator in Denver. From children’s books, gig posters, corporate branding, and even doing caricatures at the local zoo, work is always interesting! Here’s a lil pic of me doing caricatures at Denver’s Comicon.
And here’s a sample of my caricature work.
As any freelancer knows, it can be a tough gig, sometimes. Feast or famine, right? I've only been doing it a few years, and I'm still getting the hang of it, but I truly truly love it.
I mostly work digitally in adobe photoshop and illustrator with my off brand cintiq monitor, but I still love working traditionally. Especially when doing caricatures. To see more of my work, go here: http://www.secoraillustrations.com
So let's see...what else....
When I was six, I got ran over by a car.
I make my own kombucha.
Here’s a self portrait of me as a unicorn poaching centaur.
And here’s a picture of me and my close friend, Tommy Wiseau.
So there you have it. Short and sweet. I’m just a simple lil' artist guy living in the mile high state. Life is pretty great and so are you, Steemit. Cheers!!

I like you, I like your story and your work, welcome to steemit dear friend @secora, I've met with good friends by searching 'introduceyourself' tag, i love newbies and delight in giving them a hand of friendship. Love from @maxdevalue, am sending some steem to your wallet right away, welcome on-board! Your contribution is needed here in steemit.
I wish you well, take time and lookout for people of like-mind, make new friends especially minnows and newbies of same interest, grow together and support each other, that's the secret here, don't be carried away by those that has made it with huge followers and big up votes, Rome was not built in a day, one step at a time, never follow people because they are popular rather follow people of like passion because they're likely the people that'll value your posts and up vote them, take time and construct good comment on any post that you like and value, don't be fast to post too many posts in a day, 2 to 4 is okay for the day but make sure they're nice and educative and you ready to reply all comment no matter how insignificant it might be, there are more to learn as time goes on. I care for you.
Woa! What a kind message. Thank you for the warm welcome and thank you for the tip. I will heed your advice as much as I can. I'm definitely on board steemit for the long haul. I look forward to learning more about it and seeing how it grows as a community. Cheers, @maxdevalue!

Hi, Ryan,
Welcome to Steemit. You left a comment at my blog, and so here I am checking you out...
Your artwork looks very cool. Comicon is going on in San Diego right now... I got to attend once, years ago. Too pricey, too crowded... Still, I'd love to go again. I suspect you'd have fun there!
😄😇😄
Hi @creatr! Thanks for the kind words. I was in San Diego just last week for a wedding! Barely missed the SanDiego Con. From what I hear it is incredible. But...like you said, also pricey and super hard to even get a ticket.
I appreciate you checking out my work. I look forward to reading your posts more in depth. I feel like we may have a lot in common. Cheers, friend! :)
