[#1] Digital v/s Fiat Currency.. Decentralization is the key factor !!
Already started sharing about this awesome blogging platform within my circle and today had pretty healthy discussion with colleagues over digital v/s fiat currency.
You know at times it is very difficult to explain and convince people who never heard about digital currencies and how in near future it is going to replace fiat. Its more to do with the monetary nostalgia of people, that they can't think beyond fiat currencies and it was same with me during my early crypto days.
The total value of entire cryptocurrencies in circulation is almost now $100bn, and this only got doubled in last few months. Though it has got alot to catchup compared to fiat's value, it still raised considerably that nobody can ignore anymore !! It's true that digital currencies are in evolving phase, still need sometime to get proper exposure to the global system and before the masses start accepting it.
Think about digital currency this way - Inorder to replace an existing system, you got have an alternate working model for a prolonged period of time and able to convince people it is working, which will eventually make earlier model redundant.
It was this interview of Steve Forbes, which i happened to see and triggered my journey in crypto space. There he explains nicely how this is going to dominate because of block chain technology behind crypto currencies and ability to transfer ownership digitally through block chain, where transactions will be very cheap. I still recommend people to go and watch this interview to get more insight about digital currencies.
I'm a firm believer that technology has got solution to every problems in this world and how digital currency can help towards reducing poverty, due to its decentralized model. I was able to put few points on table with my colleagues which made sense to them and they will be sleeping over it today, hopefully ;)
