RE: Hi all. I want money.

Welcome to Steemit @extras! :c)

I appreciate your honesty. I'd be lying if I said that it wasn't curiosity about the monetary aspect of this platform that got me curious.

However I have learnt that this is not going to be something that is assured to succeed - especially not overnight. As with other money-making processes there is work involved. Posting, commenting, voting.

And the first step is building your personal brand. Posting a masterwork post isn't going to net you much if you have few followers who genuinely wish to follow you. That takes time, thought - and action.

Since you're new here, a quick read through this post may prove helpful.

Your post is the only one not written by a bot so far.

I know what you mean... but I don't believe it will work.
Trying to be more interesting than thousands of people, without quitting my job is not possible.

So far it seems more profitable to write a bot that handles lottery, or some other shit like that.
I am currently researching the javascript library for steem.
It seems to work well.

Ah well there is some privilege in being an unofficial human envoy for Steemit. ^_^

The 'introduce' tags tend to be heavily patrolled by scripted bots, and yes some are less useful than others. You make a very fair point.

If scripting is your talent then it may very well be the case that using it will give you more mileage. :c) I would recommend checking in with far more experienced users than myself for feedback.

My only feedback on the matter is that bots that offer a valid service are less likely to be frowned upon than others that are soley intended to badger 'introductions' :c)

You have power. With power comes responsibility. And exercising them results in earned rights. ^_^

One more thing. I don't believe that Steem has future.
I will try to take as much as I can from it, while it exists.

Just think about it.
This is a fully automatable 'social' platform, that gives money.

Three things are bound to happen:

  1. So many people will join that the new posts will disappear from the page in less than a second.
  2. Somebody (maybe I) will write a script that registers new users and posts with them pretending to be human.
  3. So many people will have STEEM, that the price will drop (because they try to sell against each-other)

(as for the 1 account per user defense - it is naive)

On this matter I also do not feel fully qualified to contradict you but I will point out that it will require a very intelligent script to pass itself off as human in words and behaviour.

I also have faith that Steemit wil evolve to incorporate the improvements necessary to make a drastic increase in information flow perfectly managable.

It'll be interesting to see how things develop over time - and I hope that your prediction proves pessimistic. :c) I am warming up to the patform.
