Say hello to my little French

Hi everyone,

I am new to Steemit, I'm not exactly sure what I am doing here! I've heard a lot about Steemit but I'm still a bit confused about it, how it works, what's the point, etc. Except the fact that it relies on blockchain technology and that everything is copyrighted forever. I guess I'll find out soon!

About myself, I'm a French 30-year-old geek, working as a Digital Project Manager in a big event organization company. I'm fond of new technologies, comics, video games and table-top games (very popular in France). Just because I'm curious, I've invested a few bucks in crypto back in August 2017, and I have to admit that this technology and the projects relying on the blockchain are amazing, as they may redefine the whole human kind system.

I also have the chance to travel a lot around the world with my wife (Europe, Asia, America, a bit of Africa, Oceania to come) and I might use Steemit as a travel blog, to share the great pictures I take in the amazing places I've been. I'll see what I can do with my Steemit profile ;)

One question though: why do you call yourself Steemians and not Steemers?

PS: the title of the post is an altered quote from Scarface (French = friend), movie I've never seen ;)
