My introduction to the English speaking community of Steemit and some pics of Mexico City!steemCreated with Sketch.

Nudes at the end of the post!

Hey! I created my Steemit account just three days ago, but I still want to engage with the English speaking community. So I decided to make this different version of introduceyourself because the first one I created was in Spanish. I'll be uploading the English translation of my other two posts so you can read them.

I recently majored in Applied Math from ITAM which is among the most prestigous private universities in Mexico. Aside from math and statistics, I have many interests: my biggest passion is reading (novels, philosophy (big fan of Camus and Nietzsche)), and, sometimes, I try to write a little bit of poetry and short tales.

My other interests are photography and the Mexican culture...hence, I decided to combine in this introduceyourself both of them, and show you some pics that I made today during a visit to the Historical Center of Mexico City:

Hello, @alonsomath, and Welcome to Steemit.

It's great that you take the effort to translate your intro into English. You will find that certain other Steemians (whose native language is not English) make each and every post BiLingual.

Most of them will put the full English portion first, and follow that directly below with a full version in Spanish or Chinese or another languages.
That can be an effective way to reach both audiences at one time. With your proficiency in 2 languages, I highly recommend you do the same ... if you can.

Below are a few basic points of advice re posting on Steemit.

  1. Longer posts are more lucrative than short posts. If you make a post of 20–30 paragraphs, it's more likely to earn rewards.
  2. Include some photos, images or graphs, to complement the text.
  3. Make sure the text and photos are formatted properly, so that your post looks attractive and appealing.
  4. Be yourself.
  5. Be interesting and informative.
  6. Create quality content. Steemit is intended to be a platform of quality content. (You will see many insignificant posts with meager content and no quality. Most of those of posts [called “shitposts” by Steemit whale Stellabelle] will earn few rewards and soon pass into oblivion.)
  7. Get online and start curating. Read various posts, comment on those posts you find interesting, and upvote those posts. That’s the best way to attract followers.

Hope this helps for now. Good luck, and Full Steem Ahead!

So you recommend to write in both languages in the same post and not posting another one separately?
Thanks for the advice I'll consider it!

Yes. Check out this young lady's posts. @sweetsssj

She's one of the most successful Steemers, and she writes all her posts in English and then Chinese.

Absolutely great quality in her blog. I'll follow your advice and try to post in both languages at the same time...Also I'll follow advice from 1. to 7.

Thanks @majes.tytyty Oh, and I'm already following you!

Cool. And I'm following you too and hoping to see more ... nudes, throughout your posts! ☺

Sorry, just gore content at the moment.. Though I followed your advise

Welcome to our community, I wish you good luck, remember that perseverance is your best option

I now, but I'm here just to share my passions...not interested in making any money. Thanks @yoyo13skate!

Hands up all those who came for the nudes...

Haha, just kidding, awesome post, the purpose of an #inroduceyourself post, is that after we read it, we have a sense of who you are...and...uhmm...I do, so kudos to you :)

My favourite part was definitely the 2 foreign couples haha, I like your humourous style, and so YUP!...

Definitely gonna smash that follow button, and as you said in your video...

See you around :D
