Hollywood's Become the BULLY that Everyone LOVES to HATE (Part 2)
(for those who missed it, here is Part 1 of this Post)
... So, who am I anyway to be going on such an impassioned "rant" on bullying?
I've been posting on steemit for several months now, and as of yet I really haven't produced any formal introduceyourself (though this may still not be the best post for it, hence the Part 1 & 2).
I've been a trader and investor for over 20 years. I also built and programmed the tymoraPRO tradeSCAN trading platform, offering unique trading tools, execution, and proprietary trading and decision-support algorithms for stocks, futures, forex, and options traders (myself included).
In 2006, we created a Youtube channel vlogolution where we developed several themes such as HotRoast, moMoneyTV, and PassMeThePork with the hope of educating and sharing a bit of wisdom and insight through satire, parody, and entertainment. Because of the constant "flagging" and "harassment" issues we seemed to have with our more "libertarian / classical liberal" political stance (especially after google took over YouTube), we eventually tried moving away from that sort of content and focusing on our Naughty Tipples Cocktail Recipes show (hosted by @michellectv who just recently also joined steemit).
By 2011, our channel had nearly 100,000 subs (when that still meant something) with some pretty decent revenue. However, around mid-2011 our best viral videos were flagged down again, and this time (for no apparent reason at all) YouTube Support decided that many of our videos were no longer "appropriate" for the site (ie. we disagree with your politics). One video alone had over 30 million views, and still exists on copycat channels that YouTube never took down despite multiple requests (apparently, our videos were only "inappropriate for YouTube" on our own channel). Worse, all our new videos were often quickly flagged and rarely allowed to be remonetized (talk about targeting), and our monthly revenue collapsed. "YouTube Partner" meant squat.
It got so bad that soon after, we gave up producing new video for our channel altogether. And YouTube didn't just uphold the demonetization of these videos, they even blocked a bunch of them completely! At which point, all their views also disappeared from our channel. Frankly, I have no idea how channels such as Alex Jones, Milo, Steven Crowder, Mark Dice, Blaire White, and others have managed to survive and seemingly flourish on the site. Perhaps some of them agreed to give up a piece of their action and join the right YouTube-sponsored "creator studios". We turned them all down at the time. Regardless, I'm sure it wasn't an easy road for any of them. Yet, the latest Britney Spears pornvideos depicting satanic illuminati orgies have no problem remaining fully monetized, 51 Million+ views and counting...
And remember this was back in 2011. We've been searching for the ideal next generation "censorship-resistant" platform ever since. In the past year alone, the censorship and banning of "dissenting opinions" is worse than ever not just on YouTube, but across all major social media. And even reaching your own subscribers has become more difficult than ever. Which, of course, gives steemit an even greater opportunity to really hit it out of the park.
steemit (especially with upcoming busy.org), while still constantly improving, excited me as the first alternative to address censorship and monetization in an entirely new and unique way that may finally be able to compete with these entrenched far-left-leaning centralized mainstream behemoths. It even inspired me to once again test the waters, do a bit of posting, and dip my toes back in the game.
Which brings us back to the early days of the anti-establishment political movement. While I was never really a big Trump fan, I was an early supporter of anti-elite Ron Paul. I even wrote and performed the song "Ron Paul is a Virus" (still on our YouTube channel, so far) to help spread his message of freedom, sound money, and small-government:
In retrospect, it seems only someone of Trump's character and tenacity, a rare breed if there ever was one, could have pulled off such a revolutionary victory against entrenched elite interests on both sides of the aisle. Back then, Ron Paul supporters were also called racists and Nazis. In 2012, a despicable smear book was even published claiming Ron Paul was America's most dangerous Nazi. In 2016, the book was re-released, but all the names were changed to Trump. Okay, okay... that last bit was a joke (but the book is real)! And remember all the "FakeNews reports" describing the Tea Party "riots" back in 2009? We checked out one of those "riots" in NYC back then. The people attending seemed to be some of the most well-behaved and respectful we've come across.
By contrast, look at some of the events that took place in D.C. during Trump's inauguration, from "protesters" setting a limo on fire, to throwing rocks and breaking windows of companies such as Starbucks that supported Hillary Clinton's campaign! As expected, many of these same FakeNews sources such as CNN and MSNBC declared these actual riots to be mere "protests", despite hundreds of arrests and many police and bystander injuries. Then there's Madonna trying to keep herself relevant by attempting to incite violence as vitriolically and disgracefully as possible (although I think there may still be a few disgruntled Hillary voters waiting on those STD-ridden "better wear a cap" BJs Madonna promised):
It's also sad how many of the most violently "tolerant" cowards don't even have the guts to show their faces while they thug around sucker punching people and destroying property. And while inevitably not all Hillary supporters are like this, I distinctly recall many of them passing around the "Not all Trump supporters are racist, but all of them decided that racism isn’t a deal-breaker. End of story." meme. Ironic that the violent mobs always seem to manifest from the radicalized far-left extremists, most of which appear to have supported the Hillary Clinton Crime Syndicate.
And as for supporting women's rights, somehow these raging feminists are all too happy remaining completely oblivious to the true gay/women suffering that takes place around the world, courtesy of the Religion of Peace... "How many of you agree that men and women should sit separate? (everyone) How many of you agree that the punishments described in the Qur’an, whether it is death or stoning for adultery, if it comes from Allah, it is the best punishment in the world? (everyone)".
Finally, in Conclusion...
On steemit, I've also come across a bunch of truly "intriguing" characters sharing ideas from all walks of life, and producing some really excellent, thought-provoking quality work. I look forward to getting to know more of you, sharing a few more ideas, and seeing where this new platform can go. And maybe I'll even find a few solid "trades" to be had along the way as well!
As for "bullying", perhaps these excerpts from this article by Alan West best sum up the key points of this post, and serve as a reminder of the dangers of the "slippery slope" of censorship and the importance of upholding people's right to freely express their own opinions...
It would appear the progressive socialist left in America has more in common with the “Palestinian” terrorists. They both seem to believe embracing the tactic of creating fear, terror, intimidation, and violence is the means to their end, namely, control. It’s the method of their madness to secure their goals and objectives. Just as the Palestinian “choom gang” only wants the extermination of Israel, a two-state solution is not part of their agenda.
Ponder if you will: what if constitutional conservatives had acted this way back in 2008 for the inauguration of Barack Obama? Yes, there were constitutional conservative rallies, and, guess what, it was about tax and healthcare policy. I don’t recall any cars being set on fire, or bricks thrown. And, when there were conservative rallies, they left the grounds cleaner than when they came.
one more example, if you're on the "right side" of their politics, you can pretty much get away with anything (nsfw) on YouTube...

A very interesting journey!
The imposition of agendas and the disregard for others.
I like your work very much - write more songs!
I rewrote The Clash song 'I'm so bored with the USA' but switched USA for NRA - you would do it really well.
Thanks for the kind words, though frankly the post still barely scratches the surface of that "journey", as I can only assume to be the case with most of us. And, given the length of part 1 & 2 already, I probably bored people enough already (for now, at least)!
Regarding songs, I have written more over the years (sadly, not much recently), though I never really got around to releasing them. Perhaps one of these days I'll get around to turning at least a few of them into uber-cool "trippy" music videos! lol
Cheers!
