Coffee, Art and Crypto
Hi fellow Steemians!
Thought I better do a quick intro as I've not gotten round to it yet. Too many post ideas and too much going on in the world of new tech and crypto. I'm still learning about Steemit [this links to a useful FAQ] and some of the tools and extra projects being integrated with it. Looks really promising but I hope it's robust enough. No system is perfect.
Anyway, I'm Ade (short for Adrian): artist, gamer and techie. Originally from the UK, based out in France.
What's my avatar about? - it's an evolving guy holding an eye symbol and a symbol of growth and harmony. Maybe one day we'll get to where we're going. You can see the full image here.
I'll be mostly posting about crypto and the decentralised future. Market sentiment, platforms, sites I've used and basically tracking the space.
Now and then, I'll post about creative stuff (free guitar experiments, illustrations, photos) and other random things (games, movies reviews). It's about keeping inspired and taking notes. I like trying to understand nature/evolution and our deep connections to it. For my garden, I'm saving up to plant some trees right now.
What I love about Steemit is the posting is quick at present. If one day posting becomes as off-putting and slow as Wordpress, I think this would be a shame. It has to be quick, and the markup language isn't difficult to get. I also love the transparency of Steemit, the importance of Steem Power and finally: a promising reward scheme for content creators. I think the personal 'Feed' area needs some work though.
The experience of keeping, trading, using crypto is a great one, if we can all get through the regulation hurdles and see this space grow with more confidence and become more about utility than 'getting to the moon'.
There's a lot of people trying to predict this space out there, but when it comes to buying coins you've got to believe in a project and, even better, make use of it. That means spending not just hodling! It's going to a bumpy ride before we get to widespread adoption.
Recommended tech:
Google Chromebooks : so easy and quick for working. There are so few updates and I just got so tired of waiting for Microsoft Updates all the time. Argh!!

I figured that you may not ever know what steem power and steem dollar is and how to use it on steemit for your own benefit.

You can find loads of good material also you youtube.
Let me underline why in my opinion it is important to power up your "steem power". At the beginning you will start your adventure on steemit as so called "minnows". Which simply means that you are "nobody". That's how I see it.
Most of those who invested into steem power are helping (SP) also those who have some SP and they help and benefit each other by upvoting their own posts.
If you have no steem power then your upvote has absolutely no value which make things more difficult, as many bigger players only will not treat you seriously.
That's anyway my own impression here so far.

I noticed that we both share similar passion towards cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology :)
Im myself quite new in steemit community but I realized that there are few things you could do to have a better start:
Mostly I invested a little bit in STEEM in order to purchase STEEM POWER and STEEM DOLLARS. Why? It's simply important. Without initial investment it will be very hard for you to build reach here and be noticed.

One more thing just crossed my mind a moment ago.
Im assuming that you're new here and i would like you to understand that steemit is quite full of spam. Luckily steemit community related to blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies seem to be quite mature.
You will realize that there is many people out there who are trying to help newcomers or simple promote themselfs by sharing their knowledge and experience. I strongly support what they do and I myself decided to spent few minutes a day looking for new members of this society that are having similar interests.
My goal is to help those new members who can really contribute into this community by sharing my experience and by upvoting and commenting future posts.
After all this is still quite new platform and it's up to us to shape our little community.
