Introducing Business, Networking, & Life's Roller Coaster- Part 1

Hello fellow Steemians!! My name is Kenny and I'm super excited to share experiences and thoughts about business, life, and everything in between! I've had a wild ride thus far, experiencing a variety of career paths, meeting thousands of individuals, and challenging myself in every way possible... but first let me explain who I am and how I ended up here!

The Early Years
Born in New Jersey, and surrounded by a loving family full with passion I was always active in my academic and athletic endeavors. I constantly strived to push myself which led to multiple captain positions in school sports while also achieving All American awards for youth excellence inside and outside of the classroom. As I approached high school I found myself becoming more passionate about the activities I involved myself in. This type of internal drive led me to become a powerful football player within my high school years which then resulted in my recruitment to a Division 1AA collegiate football team at Stetson University in Deland, Florida.

College
As a child I always had a passion for medicine- the mental, physical, and emotional aspects of your body contain an immense amount of power that aggregates to form the very person you are on a day to day basis. WOAH! Entering college and leaving behind my family was not an easy process, but after coping with it, I realized that it was the beginning of a new chapter in my life. I took my academics seriously and managed to hold myself to high standards as a biology major with a minor in finance. Cornering the end of my undergraduate career I had the opportunity to take part in one of the most intellectual and rewarding experiences of my life. I was performing my own independent research on the effect of plant based substances for treatments on Jurkat leukemia (cancer). The successful year long research project was full of devotion, passion, and energy, but the unique experience has allowed me to expand my abilities in medical research for future undertakings.

Post-Graduation
After graduating I realized I was among many other who were merely a post grad statistics. With hundreds of resumes sent, masters programs in the works, and medical school applications sent out, I was offered an opportunity in corporate America at one of the big banks. Without hesitation I accepted that one time opportunity, moved my girlfriend and I down to south Florida and started a new life’s journey. It sounded like a great set up!
