Mexican Drug Cartels, Bolivia and China

If you've been keeping up with some alternative news-sources, you already connected the dots in today's post's title; the imperialistic war of the neoliberal world forces over vital resources is about to enter a new chapter. And it ain't pretty.

In the beginning of this month Trump uttered that Mexican drug cartels should be designated as "terrorist organizations." Although it's been reported widely that he's holding that off for now, supposedly at the request of the Mexican president, the administration has made all the necessary preparations to issue the classification. This will be only temporarily though, as Trump tweeted himself on December 7th:

we will temporarily hold off this designation and step up our joint efforts to deal decisively with these vicious and ever-growing organizations!

I have to pause here to give a shoutout and to thank Steemit's @v4vapid for resteeming the latest 3speak video from @tlavagabond (The Last American Vagabond), as I completely missed the news that recently the world's largest Lithium deposit has been found in Mexico: ALL SIGHTS ON MEXICO AS IT DISCOVERS WORLD’S LARGEST LITHIUM DEPOSIT. Do you see how this all comes together? Think back to the beginning of November, when Bolivia's democratically elected president Evo Morales was forced out of office in a military coupe. Right now the illegal racist and fascist government in that country is in the process of privatizing the Bolivian economy that was nationalized under Morales, and gave the country, as well as its poor and middle class, unprecedented growth... And before the find in Mexico, it was Bolivia that had the world's largest Lithium deposit.

Morales now resides in Mexico, where he got political asylum, for if he had stayed in Bolivia he would be imprisoned or worse right now. Famous, or infamous depending on where you find yourself on the ideological spectrum, investigative reporter Glenn Greenwald went to Mexico for an interview with Bolivia's exiled ex-president. In that interview, which is linked below, Morales explains how he made deals with China and Europe to sell the people's Lithium. Although not directly related to this specific story, here's the most telling quote by Morales from that interview in my opinion:

"When the ex-ambassador of the United States came to visit me and told me, 'you can have relations with any nation except Cuba, Venezuela, and Iran' I told him 'we are a sovereign nation and we are going to decide who we have diplomatic relations with.' That's the first way we stand out. Orders! We are not a colony of the United States. We are sovereign nations."

The neoliberal imperialistic world forces, backed by international corporations know no sovereign countries, and respect no borders that lay between them and the resources they covet. They never left the colonial mindset and still fancy themselves rightful rulers over a vast empire. This should make you worried and make you ask yourself if the United States would go so far as to stage regime change in Mexico; designating the drug cartels as terrorist organizations would be a good first step as to realize that goal, because it would give the U.S. government and military a great excuse for a military invasion, all under the banner of "assisting" their southern neighbors in "managing" their cartel crisis. Watch the interview, it's an eye-opener, talking about how western imperialism is experienced first hand, in Latin America and all over the world...
