InformationFinding Championship

This is already round 7 in the 2nd season of the IFC. If you’re not familiar with this contest, I surely recommend reading this post. The contest runs until May 25th, and every week, there will be a new challenge. The great thing about the IFC is that it is never too late to join.

Round 7: Bashadow's Word Contest

The challenge for this 7th round was simple.

Write one paragraph.
Paragraph must have four (4) sentences.
All words must start with the same letter.
Your four sentences should sort of make sense, at least a little bit.

My Entry

I used up all the good words last year, so this season, I had to go for second best.

The terrifying teacher told twenty terrifying tales to thirty typical teenagers.
Though the teachers taught the teenagers Tamil, the teenagers thought that the teacher talked Turkish.
The teens terrorized the teacher till the teacher threatened to torture the talkers.
This triggered the tormented teenagers to tickle the teacher's throat.

(And yes, that last expression was on purpose, lol)

Tsk. Twenty two times this teacher thought to throttle teenagers talking trivia typically. Thursday's tutorial took two teenagers ten talkings to 'til they thought to transform themselves thoroughly. Tenderheartedly, teacher thanked them totally.

Great follow up! I enjoyed it. Heh. That woulda been good enough to enter in the contest if you wanted to play. :)

Awesome! You should enter! :0)

You rock, @simplymike!
Good luck in the contest.
Huge hugs
@amico

Thanks, @amico :0)

Lol. That's a good one! I learned a new word too which is Tamil. I was unaware of that and I love learning new words. :) So you made me laugh and you helped me learn something new! Awesome entry smiplymike! Thanks for playing! :D Oh and the bonus contest idea is a good one! Not sure how many graphic designers/artists we have this time around though unfortunately.. But that's a good idea!

Thanks, @apolymask. It's not nearly as good as the one I wrote last year, and I've just noticed I made a mistake, but I really enjoyed this. I love this kind of wordgames, even though they make me very aware of how limited my English vocabulary is. Not being a native speaker is a bit of a handicap in situations like this, lol

I had to do a Google search to find a second language that started with a 't', next to Turkish. Tamil was the only one in the list that I recognized (because of news items about the Tamil Tigers).

You're welcome. Sorry for the late response, been a bit overwhelmed trying to keep up with everything. I didn't go back and look at last years entries but I seem to remember the one you did last year was really good! I liked this one a lot too. Very creative, and entertaining! And educational. :)
Glad to hear you enjoyed the challenge! I enjoyed reading your entry as well!

Terrifically told tale. Truly.

Wow, this is a very good one. I should have resisted reading it before writing an entry myself. Tough act to follow!

Thanks @wholeself-in :0)
I had exactly the same thing. I knew this round would come up, but I had no idea when it would start. When I wanted to check, I stumbled upon the 'Wonderful Willy'-entry by @jbreheny and it completely threw me of my game.

Personally, I think this one is by far not as good as the one I wrote last year, but those seventeen sleepy sailers kept popping up in my head. It was not easy to ignore them, lol.

I've just seen you posted yours. Once I'm done replying to these comments, I'll check it out. Curious to read the other entries :0)
