What steemit is?

Steemit is a social media platform that rewards content creators through votes and comments. According to the coinmarket capitalisation :

Steem bills itself as 'a social blockchain that grows communities and makes revenue streams possible for users by rewarding them for sharing content'. It also powers real applications via social apps like Steemit.
Steem started out as the cryptocurrency on the Steemit platform that rewards users for community building through the upvoting and the posting of meaningful content. Founded in 2016 by Ned Scott and BitShares creator Dan Larimer, the Steemit platform, built atop the Steem blockchain, is a social media network that seeks to be a source of community-driven curated content such as news, Q&A and job boards. The more value a particular piece of content is able to deliver across a greater number of people, the greater the reward received by the creator. Steemit users can cast votes to create a hierarchy of content. The higher the upvote count received on a content piece, the more Steem is earned by its publisher. Steemit’s meritocratic system also enables users that hold more currency to cast more meaningful, greater influence votes

It therefore follows that when one signs up on the steemit platform, and starts creating contents that are his or her own, the person can get rewarded for such contents through upvotes. The rewards that one gets as a result of creating contents is known as Author Rewards. Additionally, the person can decide to invest his or her fiat money, then power it up and start voting on contents created by others through which he himself will earn what is called curation rewards. One can also decide to form a community and have members and as activities goes on in that community, rewards are also earned. Awesome, isn't it?

It therefore means that steemit is a win win platform. If you choose to come in as a content creator, you are rewarded, if you choose to come in as an investor, you also receive rewards and if you come in as both, then, you are really made. There is no dull moments in steemit because there are a lot of communities with different purposes which one is free to join and engage with friends.

Steemit is also an educational platform where one can learn varieties of subjects that are really beneficial. For instance, cryptocurrencies are what is trending in the world today but one needs to learn how it works. Steemit through its team, @steemitblog has come up with a good number of spotlights on the subject of cryptos which a good number of those with vast knowledge in that field have written wonderful contents of which if one reads, can become a guru in the field of cryptos irrespective of whether you have knowledge about it or not.

How Steemit changed my life?

There is no doubt that steemit is a life changer. My life have changed ever since I joined this noble platform. When I joined in July 2020, I was a novice in terms of creating contents. I didn't even know my right from my left . I began the journey here as a newborn, thanks to the mentorship by @cryptokannon and @focusnow, I can now create a content that people can read and get the satisfaction they need.

Another way that steemit have changed my life is by helping me to have a major of influence in the platform by way of steem power. I could remember when I joined newly, I didn't have that influence. I was thought what to do of which I tried my best to apply them. Thanks to the spud4steem promotion by @kiwiscanfly which has opened my eyes to understand that steemit is a business of steem power. I have won the promotion ones. I won 4th place in the September 2020 spud4steem and the delegation I received was a boost that brought me to where I am today

. I also participated in the steem power up day that was organized by @whitestallion and sponsored by @steemalive this past January 2021. I won 1st place and I also received a delegation which I am still enjoying until this moment. Amazing, not so?

Steemit have helped me to meet awesome people and friends who are very wonderful to associate with irrespective of the fact that we have not met in person. These wonderful friends are always the ones that motivate me to always be online. When you have people who care about you, it is easier to face your problems are struggles with the right vigor and come off victorious. I don't want to mention names of these my friends because the list is endless. But they are very dear to me.

Steemit has also been my employment so to say. Yes, I make cool cash by being active here. Before I joined steemit, I have a good number of other online investments which I was doing then and I also have my little business of handkerchief making, nylon printing, production of chemicals and other things but, believe me, non can be compared to being active here.

I have drastically reduced my offline works in other to concentrate more here and I am enjoying it. It gives me joy when I created a content that people reads and comment that they enjoyed reading it. And when I am finally upvoted? Hmm, the joy knows no bounds. I take delight in creating things that people will like. And I am achieving it here.

Are you satisfied with this situation?

Well, satisfaction depends on the angle you are coming from. If it is if I am satisfied with the way steemit have touched my life, I will say yes. If it is from the point of making friends, I will say yes. If it is financial wise, I will say yes because so long as you invest, or you keep active, creating original contents, you get rewarded and the rewards are awesome. Compared to most people that are employed, steemit is the best. I personally widen out by participating in contests from other communities and not just in one particular community and my entries are usually accepted, so I have no problem with it at all. Instead, I want to keep improving on my content creation and even power up the more. It all depends on me, because, to get the best out of this platform, the best is also needed from me.

What my purpose is for being on this platform?

Like everyone of us here, we all have one reason or the other that brought us here. The reason might change along the line or have some additions to it.
I joined steemit when I was looking for an online platforms that can enable me to earn cash. Yes, I needed one that pays and that was the attraction when I learned from the one that introduced steemit to me that it is possible for me to be rewarded if I create contents. But ever since I joined, I have discovered that there is more to that my original purpose. I can actually impact on people's lives positively through my own contributions no matter how little. @Learnwithsteem by @steemitblog has provided such avenue of with I have been able to teach a good number of the things I have knowledge about. I have also learned a lot from others. For instance, I had no knowledge of cryptocurrencies when I joined but now, I am getting used to it.

What my dream is here at Steemit

My dream here is to sustain myself financially through my activities. To be financially stable while being my own boss is a nice dream, is not true? Haha.
I also want to actively support others in any little way possible by sharing what I know. I wanted many people as possible that come in here to have the type of satisfaction that I am receiving that is why when I am approached Dorine explanation or the other about steemit by my fellow steemians, I readily make myself available for the mentorship. I have also encouraged a good number of fellow steemians to continue without let up especially when they complain about not being voted on.

In the future, I will like to create a community and build it up but I want to do so after I have been grounded. But before then, I want to remain loyal to those that have their own communities and learn from them. I believe in taking one step at a time.

Do you earn a daily income or invest here?
I do earn daily here in steemit. One of the ways I earn a guaranteed daily income is my participating in the @steemalive live and direct reporting (lid). Reporters are paid at least 1 steem daily. I said at least because you can actually earn more than that. Additionally, since I try my best to post daily, and those post are rewarded no matter how big or little, I keep claiming rewards daily. So I can answer without mincing words that I earn daily income here in steemit.

About my good or bad side

I believe in hard work. I believe in convincing people about what I am doing through my examples. I believe that others can achieve whatever I have achieved and that I can also achieve what others are achieving if I work hard like them. I try my best to perfect in what I do and I believe that there is no room for envy or comparison. Some people become discouraged when they see others getting updates and they are not. But I don't let that stop me. Rather I strive for improvement and imitation of those that are doing well.
Sometimes I can be lazy to make comments of other people's posts even though they make out time to comment on mine. And sometimes I run short of ideas.

CONCLUSION
