Learn and Earn Seminar On My University Campus To Promote Steem(20% to @steem-ghana)

Hello everyone, I want to tell you about an educative and exciting day I had 3 days ago. We organized a campus steem- promo today at my school. We actually have been planning this for a while now and set the day for the event to be today.

The program was themed learn and earn and is our way of promoting steemit a d helping our colleague students to earn a little something on the side while they do academics. We(steemians) took it an opportunity to spread the word of steem by partnering up with Hult-Prize whose team is led by @zzzinnn

We took our bath and prepared for the event which was scheduled to start at 9am. Before we headed out, we took a couple of pictures.

We got to the venue, Dollar Hostel( a hostel at my University) around 9:10am by which tome the program had already started without us. We took out seat and enjoyed the first presentation by our MC @zzzinnn.

He introduced our Country Rep @njaywan present and he(njaywan) did the next presentation. It was a general presentation on steemit. He touched all the key areas newbies need to know about steemit and opened a question forum for people who have questions.

After his presentation, I presented on steem powerup, the need to power up and we took newbies through the sign up process. By the time we finished signing them up, the hostel hosting the event wanted to use the hostel and we had to close before planned.

We came out, took a couple of pictures together. It was really fun. Everybody went back home.

the remaining of us who organized the program returned some of the chairs we used for the program back to the school mosque where we got them.

Inspite of the fact that we didn’t close on time, we created a whatsapp platform to guide the newbies signed up to write their achievement tasks as well as answer questions they might have they we didn’t quite cover in our presentation.

This is why we haven’t posted about it as we wanted to make a post about it only after newbies had written their achievement task 1 so that their achievements can be verified and curated easily.

We headed to a food joint nearby and had some Waakye(rice and beans). We played Ludo small while we relaxed and went back to our hostel later.

The Learn and Earn Seminar ended successfully and we helped the signed newbies write their achievement tasks and are assisting them on their steemit journey to the best of our abilities.
