a few days ago we looked at the Italian players who have increased their value the most in the last year, discovering which talents could soon jump to the honour of the chronicles of our championship; today I want to propose a more classic top ten, able to illustrate which are the players of the Serie A considered to have the highest market value, as things stand.

Cari amici, amanti del calcio italiano,
qualche giorno fa ci siamo occupati dei calciatori italiani in grado di aumentare maggiormente il loro valore nell'ultimo anno, scoprendo quali talenti potrebbero presto balzare all'onore delle cronache del nostro campionato; oggi voglio invece proporvi una top ten più classica, in grado di illustrare quali siano i giocatori della Serie A considerati avere il maggior valore di mercato, allo stato attuale delle cose.
Tra tutti i campionati europei, la Serie A si colloca al secondo posto, alle spalle solo della ricchissima Premier League, nella speciale classifica del valore complessivo delle squadre partecipanti; con 8,87 miliardi di euro stimati infatti, il campionato inglese può guardare dall'alto tutte le altre competizioni europee, e giocatori come Mané, De Bruyne, Salah, Kane, Sterling ed Alexander Arnold vengono valutati tutti abbondantemente sopra i 100 milioni, mentre almeno altri trenta hanno un costo di mercato che va dai 50 ai 90 milioni.
Ma se i due giocatori più cari d'Europa giocano inaspettatamente in Francia (Mbappè e Neymar), arrivando a valere da soli quasi un decimo dell'intera Ligue 1, tocca ai campionati italiano, spagnolo e tedesco seguire a ruota gli inglesi: con 5.09 mld di valore infatti, la Serie A si piazza alle spalle della Premier League e stacca, anche se di poco, le altre nazioni, grazie soprattutto all'arrivo di nomi prestigiosi che nelle ultime sessioni di calciomercato hanno arricchito le rose delle squadre italiane.

Il suo valore di mercato, precipitato nel periodo trascorso con i colchoneros, ha di nuovo fatto registrare un'impennata grazie all'ottimo avvio di stagione, che lo ha portato a realizzare già undici reti in diciannove partite ed e probabile che i campioni d'Italia proveranno a riscattarlo in estate.

Kalidou Koulibaly (Napoli)

Uno dei due difensori presenti in questa speciale classifica è il forte senegalese del Napoli, classe 1991, che sta disputando quest'anno la sua settima stagione in Serie A.
Il valore di mercato di Koulibaly, arrivato a toccare i 75 milioni all'inizio dello scorso campionato, è in realtà sensibilmente sceso, un po' per via delle quasi trenta primavere, un po' per la leggera flessione nel rendimento, ma se si considera che per portarlo via da Napoli oggi servono almeno dieci volte i soldi spesi per l'acquisto del suo cartellino dal Genk, si comprende in pieno quanto egli rappresenti per la squadra campana.

Gianluigi Donnarumma (Milan)

C'è anche un portiere tra i dieci giocatori più cari della Serie A, e non poteva che essere il giovanissimo fenomeno del Milan. A dispetto dei suoi 21 anni, Donnarumma può già considerarsi un veterano del campionato italiano, nel quale ha esordito nel 2015 collezionando da allora quasi duecento presenze, e della nazionale maggiore, della quale è titolare inamovibile tra i pali con oltre venti apparizioni.
La sua situazione contrattuale è al momento molto delicata: l'accordo con il Milan scade nel giugno di quest'anno, ma c'è da giurare sul fatto che la dirigenza rossonera farà di tutto per trattenere uno dei più forti portieri attualmente in circolazione.

Paulo Dybala (Juventus)

Trasferitosi alla Juventus nel 2015, dopo essere cresciuto calcisticamente a Palermo, Dybala sta disputando quest'anno la sua ottava stagione in Serie A, la sesta da quando veste la maglia bianconera. I quaranta milioni spesi dalla società piemontese per l'acquisto del cartellino della Joya si sono in passato virtualmente quasi triplicati, se si considera il valore raggiunto dal calciatore nel 2018, che tuttavia è andato sempre più calando nelle ultime due stagioni, in seguito a prestazioni altalenanti e ad una serie di problemi fisici.
Giunto a ventisette anni, l'attaccante argentino si trova di fronte al primo vero bivio della carriera: diventare un grandissimo o essere annoverato nella larga schiera delle promesse mai del tutto mantenute.

Alcune difficoltà di ambientamento, viste durante la sua prima stagione italiana, sembrano essere ad oggi superate e il futuro appare sempre più roseo per questo colosso della difesa, abile non solo in marcatura ma anche nell'impostazione e nel gioco aereo sui calci piazzati.
