Basics of Steem (Part 06) : Account Security and its importance

INTROThe Tron Fan Club is a specialized community working on some specific topics. As a moderator of the community, I am regularly sharing several tutorials to help newbies. In this series of tutorials, I am trying to share the basic issues of Steem blockchain.
Let’s talk about Account Security
Security is always very important to all of us whether it is Personal security, account security or wallet security. It’s being a vital issue now a day as we are very much involved in digital World of internet. As we live in this age of technology where everything from our bank accounts to social media is controlled by passwords, so we can easily understand the importance of security in our online activities. We depend on gadgets to a large extent and carry out daily activities including many transactions online. That's why various websites suggest us to give strong password so that hackers can't hack. Our time of spending in internet is increasing. And in that way, our risk of losing asset is increasing.
Due to the advancement of technology, in the future everything will be controlled through fingerprint, retina scan, face recognition and password. Signature system is not working in many case as we have digital signature system which is simple & quick. In the case of Steemit or blogging, the security issue is a bit more complicated because if someone gets the password here, then there is no specific authority for you to whom you can complain and bring back your assets or your account. This is one of the drawback of decentralized system. Here, you need to be more careful regarding your keys and password. In steemit, there is no central authority to whom you can claim account ownership or your wallet. So your keys and password is your ownership. Although we can recover our account if keys are lost but still there is a huge possibility of losing your valuable asset. So, you can easily understand how important the account security is in steemit.

If you make a small mistake knowingly or unknown can cause you a lot of damage. Maybe you have developed your account slowly for a long time or accumulated a lot of currency but due to a small mistake hackers can take over by seconds. Your long hard work will go in vain. So first of all those who are newbies should know the details about the security measures. Then you can secure your wallet. You should start work after that.
Therefore, before working on any platform, it is very important to know the security details of that platform very well. And if it's Steemit, there's nothing to say because it’s very very important for its decentralized nature and change of losing money is associated here. Let's discuss Steemit account security issues in detail in this series.

CONCLUSIONI am trying to share the details of Steem Blockchain in simple language in a consistent way as a collection so that anyone can easily know the details about this blockchain in one place.
