Basics of Steem (Part 02) : How to check block info of STEEM Blockchain
INTRO
The first thing that comes to mind in any blockchain is to look at the blockchain information of that blockchain. In the last tutorial, I have given you a basic idea about Steem Blockchain. Today I am going to show you how you can see the information of different blocks of steem blockchain.
HOW TO ACCESS STEEM BLOCCHAIN DATA
Basically, in the steem blockchain, one block is created every three seconds. Since this is a blogging website, there will be information about posts, comments, transfers, etc. presents in each block. This means that every three seconds the post, comment, transfer activities will be stored in a block.
Since each block is verified by Witnesses, each block has a unique number. One block comes after another in the chain so each block can be identified with their block number.
To view the information on the Steem blockchain you need to go to the website https://steemblockexplorer.com/

- The first thing you see here is some information is changing every three seconds and these are the number of blocks that the blockchain is creating.

- If you want, you can copy the link of a post and see the detailed information about that post. By maintaining the main address (domain name) you should insert the link of your post and you will find huge info about that post.

- If you want to know the details about a block, then you have to search that block number here, then you can see the detailed information about the total number of posts, comments and transactions in that block. I have searched with no. 12345678 block. It was created 4 years ago and you can see the transections of that block.

- You can also see the source code of various posts on this website. By providing link, same as 2nd screenshot, you can check the source code of any post as well.

- This website is basically for finding the basic information of the steem blockchain where the information of different blocks of the blockchain can be accessed by anyone from here.
