Hello Steemians, welcome to my post. I am excited to participate in this challenge which I have talked about "The Science of Aging👩".


👩 What is the medical process behind aging and from which age does it start?

No one of us knows how and people suddenly change as they grow older in life. I have heard someone say that injuries are the cause of aging but I don't believe the person's statement. However, from the little that I know, imagination is a process that is predetermined and controlled by genes and cells.

Cells are the functional unit of life, and as we grow older in life our vital organs will begin to get weak. The process behind aging begins with our body cells, organs, and tissues which affect our body system.

We humans our body systems are different some body systems aging starts from 30 years of age, which to some it is not common as it starts later in life. One thing about humans aging in life is that there is no way we can predict exactly how we are going to age.


👩 Are you afraid of becoming older and if yes then what are the challenges of aging that are making you afraid of getting older?

The truth is I can't predict exactly how I am going to live in this world. If I am to suggest myself I will say that I want to become old, meaning I am not afraid of becoming old. It is only those who don't have people to care for them that are afraid of becoming old.

Life is full of challenges for both young and older people which that of the old might not look too good. In life, during childhood, we are taken care of which is exactly what is going to happen when we get old. The challenges of aging that are making me to be afraid of getting older are:

  • Pains
  • Support
  • Weakness (Lack of strength)
  • Eating selected food
  • Walking with a stick
  • Behaving like a child

👩 Write any three nutritional items that can prevent aging.

There are a lot of nutritional items that can prevent a person from aging. The three best nutritional items that can prevent aging are:

  • Avocados.
  • Eggs
  • Sweet potatoes

Avocado: is a nutritional item that helps keep our skin healthy. Avocado is also known as a nutritional booster that is capable of enhancing our body receiving vitamin A.

Eggs. Eggs have so many health benefits which is a great way for a person to grow younger as it is good for cognitive function.

Eggs are rich in vitamin A which is a very important nutrient for skin health. By eating you are accumulating vitamin A that will help prevent your skin from getting dry.

Sweet potatoes Sweet potatoes contain both vitamin A and vitamin C which means eating sweet potatoes helps to fight the radical damage in our body thereby protecting our skin from getting damaged.


👩 Write any three exercises that can make you look young even in older age.

Resistance training (exercising) is the secret to making a person look young even in older age. To this, there are a lot of exercises that can make one look younger even in old age. These exercises are:

  • Running,/Jogging: running keeps us fit and healthy, and constant running makes a person look healthy and stronger.

  • Playing Football: How do you see footballers, they are always looking young even at 60. Playing football is like running which keeps us healthy.

  • Climbing stairs or hills: This is an exercise that is similar to jogging which doing it improves our health and makes us look younger.
