The Diary Game #33(29/03/2024): Attending burial and attending good Friday service in my church in honour of our Lord Jesus Christ who was crucify

It was a beautiful Friday morning, while I was still sleeping, my phone rang and I picked, it was my choir director that called to remind me of a burial we were supposed to attend. One of my church member, the mother died and the burial was scheduled to hold on 29th of March 2024, after the call we put heads together and we think of how to get to the venue because the distance was too far, it was like an hour drive, we quickly tried to calling some of our church members who has car just to see if they could help with transportation.

After numerous phone calls by converting us to the venue. At the end of the day, the youth leader of our church finally accepted the responsibility but it comes with a condition which is that we would have to pay 2000 naira equivalent to 5 steem each for the ride.

At first, I was not comfortable, but after calculating the distance and the stress involved if I am to pay my way down there, and on the second thought, I decided to stay back but when I realized the person involved, I realized that it was important for me to attend the burial.

When the arrangement of the car was made, I quickly went to the bathroom bathe, brush my teeth and I dressed up for the burial.

When I was ready for the burial, I noticed that my hair was rough, I stop by at the saloon so that the hair stylist can repack my hair for me and I wanted to carry a clean hair style.
I stop by the saloon and the stylist repack my hair, and at the saloon my choir director was there too.

While we were still at the saloon, the youth leader of our church called that he is ready for us to go, so the salonist quickly pack my hair arrange the front side and it becomes very neat.
Then start looking for a bike that will take us to the junction so that we can meet with the youth leader and others, as we were waiting, a bike stop and we climbed.

At last we reached the junction where the youth leader of the church was waiting for us, so we make a transfer for our transport to him. In side the car, there were two other ladies inside the car, and there was a guy in front of the car.

So we started the journey a little bit late, on our way going, we didn't really know the location of the burial, so we miss our way and we start asking people on the street to show us directions, so after spending so much extra time trying to know the venue of the place, we then saw the burial flex, from there we got to the venue of the burial.

When we reached the venue, the corps has already been buried, so we meet with the chief mourner who is the member of our church, though she was not happy with us for coming late but later she became happy.

So when we reached, the chief mourner took us to the space that was kept for us for entertainment, she was welled prepared for us. Variety of dishes were there, enough to drink too.

Her working place people were here with us, while they were sharing food, I turned my eyes and I saw one of our native food, this food I can't remember when I ate it last, it is call sweet yam, so I make my order and I was given.

So while we were eating, I heard a sound of celebration at the real venue of the burial, when I checked there was this talented old man that was singing and so many people came out to dash him money.

When I saw this I said before me that this is a talent been wasted, how I wish he had someone to push his career, the old man life would have been better and meaningful.
