Introduction

We are delighted to announce yet another interesting project called My City, My Life. The code name for this project is 2MCL. My City My Life is a project we have adapted from our once popular Live and Direct Reporting (LID). The main object of 2MCL is to give our dear community members another opportunity to get creative, promote their posts and boost engagement levels. We will now tell you what we have in mind for this project.

My City My Life (2MCL) - What is it

My City My Life (2MCL) is a project designed to increase get participants to create reports from different activities and locations in their City. This short content which will be done as a comment under this post, will show the reader interesting activities like crafts, businesses, projects, etc in the city. It can also include interesting locations that the user will like other people living outside the city to see.

The activities or locations featured briefly in form of a comment will then be like an appetizer which will lead the reader to a detailed post about them. Put simply, participants will report something interesting, which they will later provide more details in a post. The link of the post will then be provided and included in the report as an update. The following two examples will demonstrate what we mean.

Example 1:

@focusnow wants to visit Market Square for shopping and to capture images which he plans to use for a business review later the same day. While visiting the business, @focusnow will capture a selfie and possibly one other picture of the location and make a quick report under the My City My Life post for the week. His report will include City Name, Street name, current date and time. Then he will report the details, including what3words location coordinate. When he returns in the evening and makes the business review, he will update the comment with the link of that post so that others can read and engage with the post.

Demonstrating the above example

Here is a demo report that will be made as a comment by @focusnow under the My City My Life post for that week. We will include pictures.

My Report

Good afternoon friends, and welcome to my live report. Right now, I am inside market Square shopping for some groceries. I am checking on some beverages right here and very soon, i will go over to buy some freshfood for breakfast. As expected, there is much crowd in the mall today. In the next 15 minutes, I will check out.

I will be writing a detailed review of Market Square later in the day. Watch out for this space for the link. Before then, I will send more reports of my activities today.

Rules of this Project

Our major aim of this project is to encourage more activity, post promotion and quality engagement. So here are the rules:

• Participants are free to make as many reports as they wish daily, but must promote only one post
• Their report must be related to the post. It means that the post will include the things mentioned in the report.
• Participants are encouraged to read and comment on at least one of the posts by other participants. Ofcourse, they must also engage with the report
• Reports must include location, city, date and time. Also What3words coordinates are important
• Selfies taken at home are forbidden. Make sure to take your selfies in a location in the city apart from your home.
• Reports should provide enough detail and not just one sentence.

Note: You are free to drop links of any type of posts such as lifestyle, diary, Mytownin10pictures, and others so long as the post contains details of what was mentioned in the report

Rewards for participants

We will guarantee maximum booming support (2) for all participants. We will also give them at least 2 curation trail support. We may also give additional surprising gifts and support to those that will support this project. We may even send liquid steem to outstanding individuals that will engage with as many posts and reports, as they can.

Start Reporting and Engaging immediately

This announcement post, also doubles as our first 2MCL post. So please follow the rules above and start reporting. Submit as many reports as you wish in the comment section, but drop just one link at the end of the day. We will make just one post every week for this project. So feel free to drop all your reports daily for this week.

It is important to put date and time for each report since we are using just one post for the entire week.

Conclusion

This is like LID reporting, but we have modified it to target post promotion and quality engagement. This is another opportunity to get to know our members and to promote your posts more.
