My Sunday and I (week2): Events/ Event centers and Relaxation centers near you by @nsikakedem.

Greetings to all the steemians that are in the house. I'm super delighted to come your way this Sunday evening to drop my post on the contest organized by @focusnow still to keep us active even on Sundays. I will be sharing with you the event I attended. Happy reading.

The event I attended today was a marriages celebration. Actually, it was the white wedding and it was done at Redeemed Church of God, 62 Itu road, Uyo. Whats3word The traditional marriage happened on Thursday 19th May 2022 and I was unable to meet up with that.

Among the couple, the person I really know is the guy. Back then in school, he was addressed as Idoreyin Inyang aka Papa Jesus and currently Mr/Mrs Idorinyin Inyang. We were today in secondary school. He was a nice person though very troublesome. We happened to come from the same local government, Ibesikpo Asutan LGA. I remember having him as my roommate during my West African Examination Certificate WAEC. He is my friend in conclusion. However, the picture used here is his pre-wedding photo as I couldn't met up with when they were doing order of photograph.

My friends and I had the privilege of fully joining the Reception party as some of us couldn't make it to the church. The Redeemed church were very fast in conducting the marriage and the couple were already moving out of the venue as I came in. I quickly had to return back to the reception venue were we, his friends all gathered. There was alot to eat and drink. We had rice and soup as well as minerals, spirit and some other branded drinks.

We danced with the couple, cheered and congratulated him. We also handed over the money we had contributed as our own support to him. He was extremely happy for having such a massive support. We waited to have him give this vote of thanks and after a while came outside to take a group picture of those of us that were able to turn up.

When the reception was done and dusted, we the friends had to get down to some where to have a bottle reasoning among oursleves.

Wow! What a reunion of friends. We couldn't leave in a haste. We all sat recalling, the crazy things we did back then in school. We talked about the teachers and how wonderful they were to us. Of course, you know, the nicknames we gave to them were still very fresh in our minds. The beating we received from their hands were still remembered. We enjoyed ourselves with palmy, champion, star radler and soya. There was a strong love amongst us after some good years.

Love is sweet but marriages is the best. Many who fail in marriages will scare you away from choosing a life partner because of their ugly experience but my question is, what will stop you from getting married after you might have set up structures in ground?
