Team 4: Curation Report (Week 02), April 2023

Hello everyone, I hope that all of you will be doing well and enjoying the time with great pleasure. The second week of the curation from Team 4 ended successfully on the 14th of April 2023.

During the 7 days of week 2 of the month of April 2023, we successfully curated different posts by exploring different tags and visiting different communities on the Steemit platform.

All 5 members of Team 4 have curated the posts with the help of @steemcurator07 throughout the whole week. In total, 145 posts and 32 comments were curated by us this week. Now, I am here to present the weekly report for the second week of this month.

Statics of Our Curation

• Countries Covered:

We have covered 21 different countries and the leading country which received the most votes is Venezuela and then Indonesia and Nigeria.

• Club Covered:

We have covered different club statuses and 74 are #club5050, 28 are #club75, and 43 are #club100.

• Tags Covered:

There were 29 different tags that were curated this week and the top 2 tags were #thediarygame and #challenge, respectively.

• Communities Covered:

There were total of 36 communities that were visited by our curators throughout the whole week. The leading 2 communities were Colombia-Original and World of Xpilar, respectively.

• Curation per Curator:

With the help of these 5 curators, we have successfully curated 145 posts and 32 comments throughout the whole week. This week, @josevas217 and @petface did two curation duties.

Observations of the Curators

• @fantvwiki: Saturday (08, April 2023):-

Doing tasks with fewer teams, made me personally find a lot of reading and options to support multiple users. This week I again tried to expand the curation target to a community that rarely gets support, but as usual the constraints of posting that are too ordinary and the lack of club status in the community are obstacles that occur. But so far it still looks fun.

• @josevas217: Sunday (09, April 2023):-

The first day of curation this week was quite enjoyable for me, as I was able to support a good amount of posts from users from different countries. Performing curation is a good moment to give yourself the option to explore other communities, see other realities, other ways of making publications, which not only allows you to support but also to learn. It was a good day of work in general.

• @steemdoctor1: Monday (10, April 2023):-

It was my second curation day in the month of April 2023 and I started curation much late because the account reached 100 much later. I explored different tags and visited different communities to cover up my curation on the day. In total, I was able to curate 23 posts and 5 comments. The overall experience was good. The quality of posts was also average.

• @petface: Tuesday (11, April 2023):-

I managed to curate articles with lovely images on various topics. Many posted about their daily routine whilst others took part in the engagement challenges. I was also impressed by the number of individuals hosting contests in different communities, literally every fourth post I set eyes on was either a contest or its winners announcement. There were plenty of comments to choose from and discussions to eavesdrop on with the ones about what is being developed for the platform of serious interest to many Steemians including myself.

• @anasuleidy: Wednesday (12, April 2023):-

This was a very interesting day of curation since I started with my responsibility very early, being able to concentrate as much as possible with my work, on this day I concentrated on very varied content to search, I searched with emphasis for tutorials, recipes and educational material, since it is complete content and complex. Thank you for the attention.

• @petface: Thursday (13, April 2023):

This Thursday I chose to curate in two different sessions, an early morning and a late evening one that allowed me to reach out to more Steemians based in various countries taking time difference into account which in the end of the day determines when certain nationalities are the most active here. There were lots of articles to go though the majority of which contest entries and a third were the ever popular diary game posts. Plenty of comments were out there including replies written by bloggers who weren't actively commenting until recently.

• @josevas217: Friday (14, April 2023):-

On this second day of curation I have worked more calmly, and I have also been able to review a large number of publications. I have ventured into other communities that I did not reach last week, and I was able to support other users of different nationalities, with diverse content, which is nice. The work of curation requires time, concentration, and willingness to review, luckily I have been developing these skills that make my job easier.

On this occasion, the young user @christnenye has shared a post with us where she shares a step by step of some crafts she has made with paper. They are a desk and a chair that he has made in origami, delivering a good result. She has even made some small drawers on the desk that she has made, which caught my attention, because it is a small detail that makes a difference. In general, I like craft posts, I know they imply double work, on the one hand, the execution of the craft, and on the other hand, taking photos of the process to later make the post. It involves more work.

My best pick for this curation day is a food recipe again. It is a very common fast food item which is commonly available in all the local markets, streets or in the restaurants of Pakistan. The author has step by step discussed the procedure of making the Shami Burger. At the end, he has also stated the health benefits and drawbacks of the items that are used in the preparation of the Shami burger. The overall presentation of the post is also impressive.

The bright glittery photographs present very well the surroundings of this lifestyle blogger. I felt like I am out shopping with her whilst I was just sat in my office. The author shared plenty of details about her activities that day with an emphasis on the shops that she popped in. She mentioned exactly how much she spent on clothes and accessories some of which will be gifted to the big family coming to stay at hers. The blogger even converted the prices to Steem. She is a regular contributor to our platform who I am glad that I had the opportunity to support.

A wonderful article inspired by one of the many contests on. The blogger combines creativity with the serious matter of powering up in order to grow your account here on the platform. So whilst encouraging others to power up like she did and explaining how the author is also sharing with us a step by step guide on making owl fridge magnets. Both owls are very cute, the yellow bird appears more photogenic as its base is brighter but the pink feathered friend is my favourite. I currently have no magnets on my fridge so I might give this a try when I have a spare hour.

The selection this time in the second day of curation has been a post that talks about one of the most basic things we should do to maintain a good state of health as it is to drink water, as simple as that.
