How are you guys...? I hope you all are well. Out of this week's contest, I first thought of participating in this contest to talk about my country. I have previously spoken about my country in the first steemit engagement challenge contest. I'm glad to share about a brief description my country with you again.

I am @nishadi89 from sri lanka. I am proud to have been born in a country like Sri Lanka. My country is a small beautiful island in the Indian Ocean. The country is surrounded by the sea. An Asian country, Sri Lanka is popularly known as the Pearl of the Indian Ocean. My country is not so densely populated because my country is small. My country, with a population of 20 million, is rich in natural resources.

My country has a high foreign attraction due to having a beautiful beach. Many tourists come to Sri Lanka for vacations. The very favorable climate is a specialty of my country. Sri Lanka has been able to claim such a favorable climate because of its proximity to the equator. How valuable it is to have the same temperature as always. Neither too hot nor too cold. The interior of the country has a relatively cold climate, which is not so bad.

My country has several World Heritage Sites. Places like Galle Fort, Sigiriya, Sinharaja and Anuradhapura are prominent among them. In addition, Sri Lanka is a major producer of imported crops such as tea, coconut, rubber and spices. Ceylon tea is a specialty tea produced in our country. Sri Lanka holds a high position due to the high quality of imported crops.

What are the great things that interest you about your country?

• Having a favorable climate for all.
• Sri Lanka is surrounded by beautiful beaches. And there are inland forests, waterfalls, rivers and streams.
• Culture of different religions including Sinhala, Tamil and Muslim.
• My country's food, clothing and culture.
• Being a country rich in valuable natural resources.
• Due to the location of large natural harbors such as Trincomalee, my country was able to attract foreign countries as well.
• Having sanctuaries, reserves and parks where animals can live freely.

Which of the things mentioned above do you prefer your country for, over other countries?

The unique talents of the Sinhalese, descended from the past.

If you come to Sri Lanka to visit, you will see many things that are built on technology and various skills that are unique to our country. The best example of this is Sigiriya. Here I am referring to the technology that carried water to the top of the Sigiriya rock in the past. Also, the various small and large lakes in the country reflect the talents of the people who lived in the past. The amazing stone pillars and carvings in temples like Thuparamaya and Isurumuniya also highlight the technology that existed in our country.

Cooperation and friendliness between people.

There are people in my country who are very friendly and full of good qualities. There are people in my country who are kind-hearted enough to help each other in any disaster. Sri Lankans are people who are hospitable, even to outsiders.

Free education and healthcare facilities.

A free education system is in operation in my country from primary level to university level. This system also provides students with the required textbooks, knowledge and scholarships free of charge. Also, free medical facilities are available to all at government hospitals. In addition, there are many other free health programs.

I love my country more than any other country for these reasons. And respect.

No Place like home: If you eventually leave your country in search of greener pastures, would you be willing to come back because of your response in (3).

There really is no other place that suits us better than our home. And there is no other country as familiar to us as our motherland. In fact, if for some reason I had to leave my homeland and move to another country, I would miss a lot of things. Especially the things I like.

So it is no secret that if I go to another country like that, I will always remember my country. Although I have a desire to go to another country for work, I am never ready to forget my homeland and move to another country forever. If I go to another country like that, I will definitely return to my homeland.
