I welcome you to my blog today. It's week 4 in the Steemit engagement challenge for season 12 and here in this community, we have an interesting topic to discuss. I will be sharing with you my entry about this week's engagement challenge.

It's indeed a wonderful topic because everyone uses household appliances. We also have a few we use often and they became almost part of us. We use them because we may probably not stay a day without them.

Name your favorite household appliances you often use at home

The major household appliance I use daily is my cooking gas. Hahaha, I guess most of you will be surprised but I don't joke about it because I love food so much and I ensure to cook every day which makes me make use of it daily.

Cooking gas is one of the appliances I use every day to boil water when I wish to take my bath, to warm my leftover food, and also to prepare new food. As you can see it is almost impossible to stay a day without it because I must always take my bath even if I don't want to eat.

What are the functions of this appliance(s)?

The function of the cooking gas as the name suggests is used to cook food and also boil water. Without a gas, one can use other forms to make their food and boil their water but in my case, it is the most effective way and that is the reason I prefer it to other means.

Sometimes, you can use it as a room warmer because it doesn't bring out harmful gas as in the case of their means of cooking like the stove and firewood.

How often do you use this appliance(s)

I use this appliance at least 3 times daily. Since I warm my leftover food with every money, I also boil warm water to take my bath before going out. When I come back during the evening, I also boil water and make food to eat.

In that way, sometimes I make use of the appliances 2-3 days daily, and if other things come up within the period I also try to use them and do the needful.

Can you stay for a day without using this/these appliance(s)? How long have you had this/these appliance(s) in your home?

It won't be easy staying a day without these appliances as a matter of fact no, I can't stay a day without it and the reason is that I boil water using it daily to take my bath.

I said earlier I like eating food always hence I cook or warm my food daily which makes me always use gas for cooking.

Can you remember how much you purchased this/these appliance(s), give the price in your local currency and Steem

Yes, I can remember vividly. I wasn't the person that purchased the gas through but it was purchased about 3 years ago at the rate of NGN 9,000 which is equivalent to around 60 steem as of the time of writing this publication.

It was a bit cheaper then but at the moment the price has skyrocketed because of the inflation that the country is facing at the moment. The price is 2 times what it was bought about 3 years ago.
