EL DIARIO DE DIEGO: clase n.5 primer acto

Buen día, mis queridos amiguitos y amiguitas. En este momento, ustedes tendrán miles de porqués. ¿Por qué mi familia es pobre? ¿Por qué mi padre perdió su empleo? ¿A qué se dedica (o dedicaba)? Mirad, una cosa a la vez. Empiezo respondiendo a la última pregunta. Mi padre es albañil. Siempre lo fue. Sucedió que la empresa de construcciones para la que trabajaba quebró. Su dueño fue detenido por bancarrota fraudulenta y un día, sin previo aviso, todos los obreros de la construcción se quedaron sin empleo, así como así. Llegando al sitio, ya no había obra. Solo quedaban unos ladrillos. Por lo restante, el desierto. La empresa no existía más. Entonces, ya saben cómo están las cosas en Argentina: por cuanto iba buscando mi padre un nuevo empleo, no hubo éxito. Argentina no es más tierra para obreros y albañiles. Sobre todo Córdoba. En cuanto pueda, les contaré lo restante...

Dictionary and grammar: los 4 PORQUES

In Spanish, as the same as Portuguese, it exists 4 porqués (porquês in Portuguese):

1)POR QUÉ: for direct questions, indirect questions and exclamations

2)POR QUE: proposition (POR) with the relative pronoun (QUE), to introduce relatives or adjectives clauses

3)PORQUÉ: it's a masculine noun meaning cause, purpose. It exists also the plural PORQUÉS

4)PORQUE: atonal conjunction expressing purpose

ALBAÑIL = MASON, BRICKLAYER

EMPRESA = BUSINESS, ENTERPRISE, COMPANY

BANCARROTA FRAUDULENTA = FRAUDULENT BANKRUPTCY

LADRILLOS = BRICKS

EMPLEO = EMPLOYMENT, JOB

OBRERO/S = WORKMAN/WORKMEN
