Product Definition, Functions, and Benefits

A product is something tangible or intangible and has complex characteristics (color, brand name, packaging, and price). Products produced by a company or UMKM are then distributed to consumers. This product aims to identify the goods or services of a wholesaler or retailer and this identification will provide differentiation from other products or services.

• According to Kotler and Armstrong (2017: 244) a product is defined as anything that can be offered to a market for attention, acquisition, use, or consumption that might satisfy a want or need.*

A product also has a purpose to meet consumer needs and satisfy consumers, whether traded wholesale or retail, and retailers. As we know that people's needs are different, therefore business people make more than one product in their company's production.

Product benefits;

• Presenting the value of the product provided by the community so that a company can make improvements and improvements both in terms of quality and quantity.
• Profit
  With the issuance of a product, producers certainly want to make a profit, the product is a business that when accepted by the community, there will be a lot of profit.

Product characteristics;

There are several product characteristics that consumers will really like;

Well, from all the explanations above, a product can provide satisfaction, happiness and comfort for its users so that view also applies to me as a consumer of a product, I have many products to like and support my daily life, maybe I can't escape of products that have provided benefits, satisfaction and pleasure for me. So, I will evaluate one of my flagship product Mini Portable Sewing Machine.

Portable Mini Sewing Machine

This small sewing machine was given to me by my mother 5 years ago, when I decided to live independently with my husband, 75 km away made my mother worried and bought me this sewing machine so I can use it to learn to sew clothes that are torn, buttons are loose , as well as other fabrics. As you know that there is a big cost to just repair clothes such as cutting clothes paid Rp 15.000/4.85 steem and patching cloth also being paid the same price, and that's the price in the countryside, maybe if in the city it will even more expensive. Therefore, this portable sewing machine product isit's precious and I love it.

I feel very helped by the presence of this portable sewing machine, I can save money just to repair torn clothes. In addition, this mini machine also saves space, if an ordinary sewing machine takes up 1-1.2 meters of space, then it is only 25cm in size, or the size of my palm, even the ruler is longer than this.
