This week we are celebrating a new graduation, this time our dear Member @F21Steem has reached the minnow level with +500 SP, and it's now a Graduate Member of the Knitrias Project. On his posts we have discovered many traditions, festivities, the community work and the day by day in his village in Aceh, Indonesia. It's been some months since we start this Project on difficult times, and now is a great pleasure to celebrate this graduation on a more diverse, friendly and growing platform as we are experiencing now.

This has been thanks to the efforts of many communities, projects, curators and authors sharing experiences, creativity and knowledge. The 100 days of Steem has been a successful program by the Steemit Team which has greatly contributed to the recruitment, retention and rewarding of so many users and movement as we see on the platform right now, thanks to the PoD Project, we are reaching many of our goals.

Communication

A subject that result relevant in our last evaluation was the issue of communication between Members. The interaction through comments could bring not only to a more wide exchange of ideas and experiences but also to common projects and goals. As authors, we commonly want to be read and also rewarded but is a more difficult task to visit other blogs to add valuable comments and encouragement, mostly when our comments get no replies or not the ones we expected.

However, some of our Members have discovered the value of commenting as a possibility to open the door of a sincere expression, giving the result of true connections with other users on the platform, expanding the ideas and knowledge, finding opportunities, creating relationships.

Some time ago^{(Week 05)} we talk about some points to improve our comments, these must include the impression as a reader, connections, some experience to share, surprise, likeness, agreement or even disagreement on the propositions of the post. Sometimes a good question about the content is a proof of interest on the lecture of the work. Encouragement is fundamental for every author working in the platform as this provides the energy to continue creating an improving on the content creation.

The Knitrias Project is a multicultural group, and with diversity of ages and experiences, this is an aspect that we have to take advantage to expand the possibilities of interaction and appreciation of the different points of view.

Let's try to introduce ourselves between fellow Members this week, no matter is an old Member or a new one, let's share some ideas about the platform, this project or the life on every one's place, practice the ability to valuate, respect and help on the work of others, so we can construct a community self-organized and with more possibilities to grow working as a team.

The Weekly Reports of the Knitrias Project are the main channel of communication, not only because they contain important information, the weekly challenges and rewards, but also because they are the place for doubts, information and suggestions for the work.

Please, all the Members are encouraged to review every weekly report and comment confirming the information was received.

The Members' Initiatives

As part of the discussions and suggestions on the last week, we introduced a new activity in the Project in which each Member has the opportunity to launch a contest to promote creativity for any user of the Steem Blockchain. During the week we received only one proposal by @Rashia: Short Story Contest

The proposal has received 20 Steem Power of the reward pool for the applicants in the proposal week, and will receive 15 Steem for prizes as soon as the contest is published. 5 Steem Power will be transferred to @Rashia when the contest is finished.

Next Round for proposals will be on Week 11.

Challenges for the week

Theme: Discord

This week we will be explorin a very useful tool for communication and organization of large groups in Steemit, this is the third party application Discord.

Discord.com is a chat application commonly used on the gaming and crypto communities because the many tools that provides for organizing servers with different channels, multiple scripts and bots interact with the users giving information, alarms, welcome and tips. Channels could be moderated and have certain rules of participation.

Many Curation Teams on Steemit use Discord to organize and receive posts for support in specific channels. Some examples are:

The subscription to the site only requires an email confirmation and set a username, it´s better if it's the same on Steem. There's the online and desktop versions of the app.

This week the challenge consist on subscribing to the app and some of the curation channels on Steem. If you are familiar with the app what would be your main recomendations. The content has to do with the personal experience and doesn't require technical language but the own expression of the encounter with the information or the use of the tool.

The subjects on the Open Source challenge so far are: Markdown, SteemWorld.org, Steem Whitepaper, Steem Witnesses, DLive.io, Steem Auto and Knitrias Project Roadmap.
