Today, Tuesday 8th of November 2022, the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Kebbi state, swore in a total of 1,200 corps members for the 2022 Batch C, stream 1 orientation exercise in the State.
The Kebbi state coordinator, NYSC, Alhaji Mohammed Mustafa, disclosed this in a speech at the swearing-in ceremony held at the NYSC orientation camp ground, Dakingari, Suru local government area of the state.

In his speech, he explained that out of the 1,200 corps sworn in today, a total of 606 were males while 624 were females from approved tertiary institutions all over the country.
“May I at this juncture, congratulate all the Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) for your success that qualified you for the stage you are now. This is the time when your various leadership traits will be put to test and I urge you to endeavour to give accurate accounts of yourselves and your background." The state coordinator encouraged the newly sworn-in corp members.
Highlights of the ceremony include the signing of the ceremonial Oath of Alliance by the representative of the Chief Judge of Kebbi State Justice Ashan Usman Mohammed. Who also took the time to encourage the newly inducted youths to be prosperous in their various place of Primary Place of Assignments (PPAs).

My favourite moment was the Tug of war between the male (Iron bend Iron) and female (Born Rugged) teams of which the lady's team won with a scoreline of 1-2. It was a funny moment as the Male team won the first set and funnily lost the last two sets.
Then came the section of the three heart Hurrays for the Kebbi state NYSC coordinator. A moment every member enjoyed as they look forward with glamour.

The ceremony which started around 9:05 AM came to a close at about 10:30 AM and everyone was given the chance to take pictures with their friends and loved ones.

After taking photos, the newly sworn-in Corp Members were assembled to take lectures based on different topics related to their stay in camp, Primary Post of Assignment (PPA) and their life in and after the Camp and Service. The day came to a close after the lectures at about 2:30 PM as the Corp members were released to go get their lunch as the esteemed guests made their way back home.

The day finally came to a conclusive end in sports with a novelty match between the NYSC Camp Officials (Red Team) and a team of the Newly Sworn-in Corp Member (Blue Team). The match ended 2-1 in favour of the NYSC Corp Members (Blue team).

Wow this reminded me of my days in nysc camp. The experience has not left my mind.
Thug of war is one game I loved too during our swearing in but come o how will there be thug of war between male and female hmm am surprised the females even worn.

Its obvious you are not seeing the sizes of the ladies... In spectators words, its 3guys to one lady.. Lol 😆 . Thus the team name, born rugged.
I don't think I want to remember this experience, its taking more from me than I expected both in time and in finance.

Congratulations to all the approved Corp members who jad made it to the camp. The training really worth it and the lectures in preparation for where ever each of the corp member will be posted to. Kudos to the female corp members thst won. I really enjoyed reading through your article.
