Pierre August Cot was born on February 17, 1837 in Bédarueux (France). His training as a painter was received at the École des Beauex Arts in Toulouse. He then moved to Paris, where he gained much recognition as a portrait painter.

His popularity grew so much between the 1870s and 1880s that he was awarded the Legion of Honor. His favorite subject is figurative art.

He died on August 2, 1883, in Paris (France), at the age of 46.

Below we will present three of his works so that you can choose the one that most motivates you to write. The first is called: "The Spring" (1873), the second, "The Tempest" (1880) and the last, ***"Ofelia/Un momento para reflexionar" *** (1870).
