How your body speaks to you

I’ve found myself with a pretty heavy cold, mostly a cough. I find it funny how oblivious I was to my body before. Now I can see issues coming a mile away. Your body is constantly speaking with you if you quiet down enough to listen. It tells you everything you need to know. If you get good enough at it you can tell what foods effect you in what ways. If you think that alcohol or caffeine or sugar doesn’t affect you at all, you aren’t paying enough attention. It might be a negligible effect if you are in good health but there is always an effect. It may also be effecting you more than you think but you aren’t sensitive enough to realize it. There are obvioisly other things that effect your body that you can surely guess, like quality of sleep, posture, weather, and stress.

Everyone knows this, but most people don’t realize the implications. Every sensation I can your body comes from somewhere usually a combination influences. Sudden discomfort and even many illnesses are often caused by some kind of stimuli, often times thoughts. You don’t have to believe me, but if you spend a few months paying careful attention to your body, you probably will. The symptoms or discomfort start off small, but the longer you ignore them, the more severe they are likely to become. Pressure builds up in the muscles and tissue. The pressure causes organs to functions at less than optimal levels of performance, blood to flow to be limited and less oxygen to flow to where it needs to flow.

It was no surprise that I ended up getting a cold this week. Aside from the change in my diet (more food in general and more meat when I usually eat very little and sometimes border or vegetarian) and the increased consumption of alcohol may have been enough, but if it wasn’t, the emotional stress I was feeling through last week was certainly enough to.

Some good sleep helps, medicine might alleviate the symptoms, but I noticed the biggest difference today after a day of focusing on the fact that most of my worries had been unwarranted, despite previous experiences which led me to believe otherwise.

I’m going to try to allow myself to space out and enjoy my surroundings a bit more today and tomorrow and let all the pressure out I’m pretty sure I’ll feel better tomorrow.

I hope you feel better soon, I get sick when I am run down and don't look after myself, seems obvious when you think of it that way but never at the time.

Yep, this is what I was going to say. I get sick when my body's like, "Please lie around and take care of me!"

I only run myself down on steemit when I lose sleep to write all the posts I want to write and catch up with all the people I want to catch up with. I was doing that for about 2 weeks around New Years.

Yes its easy to get lost in just one more thing, I have noticed that we are generally staying up later but still getting up early, so burning the stick at both ends so to say. There is just so much to learn and its so interesting and then there is reading, commenting and your own posts. Its cray cray but fun!

I seriously don't know how you keep at it, I did that for half a year, that was that, I rarely sacrifice as much as I did before, I was literally reading hundreds of posts per day and leaving about as many comments :D it sure was worth it tho, even if it was hard to get everything done at the same time.

Are you still off the sugar?
It could be that your body, expecting X amount of energy, has depleted itself of its reserves, in anticipation of the energy burst, which it never got. Up the fruits. Red apples are your friend :)
Peace.

Good point, I realized that right after I posted...wait how does a dramatic decrease in sugar effect the body?

I’m worried that as soon as I’m finished with this sugar diet, I’m going to want to binge on chocolate again...

Nah, with sugar gone, you shouldn't crave it anymore, you will need to fill the calorie shortfall though from non carbs. Fibre rich fruits :)
Peace.

Get well soon @whatamidoing. Take care of yourself, have more sleep if you can and it helps if you do regular cleansing :) Have a good day.

Anything past 1 drink really damages my immune system, and coffee ruins my gut. Sugar has the least effect on me, but I never consume huge quantities!

Paying attention to the things you consume, including products for hygiene and whatnot, is super important

PS. I was wondering why I kept missing your posts and found out I didn't have you followed! My b

Caffeine does the most damage on my system, i suspect because I have some tissue inflammation from back problems. Sugar is a lot more subtle, I can’t usually feel the difference from eating it once or twice but I notice a big difference if I change my sugar intake throughout the week, generally more peace of mind and more energetic.

Nice post N good information.
Just care of your body.

Cheers matey, I will second you on what you have said above, it's true, I can't say I get a months notice when I'm going to get sick, but I do feel it a few days before that, the usual case is the weather did a 180(amplitude from cold to hot or the other way around) or I spent so much of my resources I'm a walking mining field for bacteria :D

You know your stuff, usually when I drink alcohol it takes around 30-40% more time to recover

Keep it going :) more water too, by the way, that's something I'm failing at, forgot totally .... drink 3-4 bottles a day to keep the doctor away and the flow in peace :D
