Original Steemit Daily 100+ Rep Fitness Challenge Day # 26 - Find YOUR Inspiration & Join Us - 1/1/18

in #health7 years ago (edited)

Please join our growing team and contribute with 100 reps of exercise. We support each other every day. Why not?

5 participants today for a solid 1,849 reps combined.

Forget resolutions. You know that exercise is important, so start with just one day and go from there.

These people are creating their own original posts to prove their hard work. Please support their dedication with encouragement!

If you wouldn't want to support this, I'd love to understand what's missing via a comment so I can improve it. There are hundreds of thousands of users, and we should have plenty that would participate if they saw it!

TOTALS: 24,042 reps done across 8 Steemians in 25 workout days.

Feedback from @mightpossibly:

"I'd also like to add that I find it deeply satisfying to do these reps, which is a big deal. I've always hated the gym and prefer to exercise at home. But I've lacked the discipline to do it. It sort of feels like I have gym buddies now, without the hassle of going to the gym."

The Challenge: At least 100 honest reps of exercise every day. No excuses. No bullsh*t. Just actions, positivity, and results. Only post AFTER your reps are done.

  • If you can't contribute yet, try to eat natural foods and stay well hydrated without the sugar for now.

  • Please also support these participants for their commitment to their physical and mental health. Thank you.

Daily Challenge Completed - 150 reps:

-80 Shoulder Bar Presses (75 pounds)
-60 Back Bar Rows (75 pounds)
-10 Reverse Forearm Bar Curls (75 pounds)

Daily Assessment: My entire body is sore, but it feels like progress. I took some extra time today to stretch and feel everything out. I can tell that my body is responding well to the new demand. My goal was to keep working with the 75 pound bar until it started feeling too light. I'm starting to feel that I'm almost to that point. It's nice to look back 25 days ago where I hadn't touched weights for almost a year, and how I was struggling with this weight.

Cumulative Results:
@rmsbodybuilding = 13,659 reps (56.8%) - 25/25 days (current champion)
@thevillan = 3,400 reps (14.1%) - 5/25 (skill skyrocketing)
@steemmatt = 2,865 reps (11.9%) - 25/25
@myleskshupe = 1,894 reps (8.5%) - 6/25
@povilas = 1,406 reps (5.8%) - 10/25
@mightpossibly = 559 reps (2.3%) - 6/25
@xced2806 = 158 reps (0.65%) - 1/25
@dj123 = 101 reps (0.40%) - 1/25

Please see my first post linked below for my motivation, the challenge background, rules, and details for the Steemit Silver Coin prize! It's also got some personal stuff about why I'm doing this, so it could be a good motivator.

Great stuff m8, keep it up :)
I remember reading in one of your posts that you want to improve grip strength.
I had shocking grip strength after my accident, could barely make a fist. Over time and continual gym dedication I now have stronger grip strength than before the accident. As you lift heavier weights your grip strength will naturally go up.

Thanks for the example and your advice. Hopefully I have a slightly easier path than you did, but that's amazing that you could recover to be as strong as you are now.

THanks m8, yeah the doctors said I would never regain that strength, but I did. I think they say that though because 99% of people who suffer serois injury won't commit like I do.

Do my eyes deceive me? Big new record day?

Welcome to the club. Nice effort with your post and tracking. I post a little erratically based on when I get to work out, but it's usually pretty late in the night on EST time. Looking forward to your contributions and success.

thanks man @steemmatt I work different shifts so I also post when it works best for me.
