100 Days Off Challenge !

The Regular Betting Season has ended for me and I've been thinking how to approach the spring and summer time when it comes down Sports Betting, Crypto and Steemit.

Sports Betting has been a very dominant factor in my life the past 10+ years. One of the things about professional Sports is that it doesn't really takes breaks as there is always something going on to bet on. A lot of volume is needed to actually create a longer term edge if you want to make money from it, so it's easy to just keep going. I never really took time away from it the last 10+ years and found a lot of comfort in this lifestyle of not having to go to work and make money online very slowly building a passive income.

As a result, I kind of neglected a lot of other aspects in life and I can't say I'm at the point where I want to be at as a 35 year old even though I'm quite happy. I already took some big steps the last couple years when it came down to improving my lifestyle and social skills by better understanding how it all works, but there is still some way to go to fully take control and change all my bad habbits once and for all. Getting into Crypto and has not really helped to balance my life so far as it has all been very addictively fun and has taken up a huge amount of time.

So I have set myself a Challenge to take 100 Days off and put nearly 100% of that time in my personal development and will be using Steemit as a way to blog about it which should help a lot to keep myself motivated and on track. One of the greatest things about Steemit for me since I joined this platform is that it really helped me to stay sharp during the entire Betting Season. This is how I plan on using Steemit, not make posts just to make posts (let's be honest ~80%+ of posts on steemit are exactly that and would not exist without monetary rewards), but make posts that have value aside from the monetary rewards for myself and maybe some others as any normal blog on the internet.

100 Day Goals

These are some of the goals I set out to do the next 100 days and what I will be blogging about during that period.

Personal Goals

  • Eating Healthy
  • Working out
  • Meditation
  • Become more Social
  • Dating
  • Read Books
  • Learn New Skills
  • Make Daily Blogpost
  • No Time Wasting (Gaming / Internet / Porn)
  • Travel Somewhere
  • ...

Steemit Content

  • Personal Approach
  • Health
  • Psychology
  • Real Talk (insights)
  • Healthy Food
  • Personal Weekly Update

  • Steemit
  • Monthly Curation
  • EPL Betting Contest
  • ...

I will talk more about about it in the next couple posts. I will keep looking out for Sports Betting Related Blockchain Projects and report on them and try to keep up the EPL Betting Contest and the Monthly Curation going aswel. The time I spend on Steemit will be fixed and limited to making a post aftermy morining work out and taking some time to comment and manually curate the platform in the evening.

I'm very much looking forward to it and see it as a privilege to be in the position that allows me to do this. I hope that this maybe insipres and helps others to obtain a more healthy lifestyle in the process themselves.

Your post has been featured in issue #2 of the MAKE IT HEALTHY PROJECT MAGAZINE. Thanks, I'm looking forward to explore this more health related part of Steemit.
Great to see these community initiatives.

Wow nice post mate, i'm just amazed at how many things & interests we have incommon apart from steemit like ; football & football betting, cryptos, i also quit my job to make my money online and i also am trying to quit or at least moderate some of the bad habits that i have and am slowly trying to get a healthier lifestyle too.

Most of the food i like is junk food and i have grown to be quite lazy in the past couple of years, the total opposite of when i was young, when i used to play football & later on boxing and was really fit overall.

Anyways, i really wish you luck with the challanges you tasked yourself with, keep yourself motivated and never give up, i'm sure that in the end you will reach your goals. :)

Good luck with this challenge.
At first sight it looks easy but a lot would underestimate this.
Will be interesting to see how things develop.

You are going to eat only vegan? Already any ideas about the traveling?

And perhaps this will be a good time to finally meet up :-)

I'll be making a post on what I plan to eat probably tomorrow, It will be a whole foods plant based diet. No bullshit or shortcuts and just follow what science knows about food as close as possible. I don't have any specific travel plans yet and plan to make them as I go along. First part is getting into that flow the first 10 days.

Getting more social is on my to do list so we will surely meet up one of these weeks. I'm looking forward to it.

Looking forward to see what you're planning to eat. Will be interesting :-)

I do agree that crypto has definitely taken up some extra time for most of us this past year, everything comes with its ups and downs I guess. Glad you're mostly satisfied but still trying to improve daily.

I'm also trying to find ways to improve myself and hopefully now that springs finally upon us spend more time outside and not locked up on my computer or wherever I am inside.

Many people are chasing money all their life...and one day they realize they have money and nothing else. In my opinion we should look on money only as tool which we are forced to have. Because of it most of people work slave jobs to earn it. You found different way and that is good. Love your approach to all of this and good luck with everything!

Here's something you may try during the summer: find (and join) some mountain climbing expedition (for beginners if you're not into mountain climbing).

You'll meet interesting people, you'll be away from the internet, and it's much cooler in the mountains during the summer. Don't go for something extreme, the more it looks like trekking the better.

Of course, if you're a party animal that might not be the right choice :-)

Are you into mountain climbing yourself ?

Sadly, now days I'm too busy for it. Too many commitments to keep.

I used to go alone. Pack the bag, put my boots on and go into the wilderness. It's a strange feeling, the deeper you go into the wild, the more you leave the social roles you play behind you. You are no longer your profession, you are no longer brother, son, lover, neighbor,... the new you emerges. The most basic you.

There're you and there's the mountain.

Although, it's really physically demanding to carry the gear and supplies for the 3+ days journey, at the end of it I've always been refreshed, centered and full of energy. I wouldn't recommend going alone without prior experience, especially not in the areas not covered by the mobile networks. There are real dangers in the mountains.

A lot of change ! Good luck with that ! I hope you will find during this month what you are deeply looking for !
