To start with, I will explain what is Bar Mizvah itself. Maybe some people here even haven't heard about it. So, Wikipedia tells about it as follows:

According to Jewish law, when Jewish boys become 13 years old, they become accountable for their actions and become a bar mitzvah. A girl becomes a bat mitzvah at the age of 12 according to Orthodox and Conservative Jews, and at the age of 13 according to Reform Jews.

Traditionally, the father of the bar mitzvah gives thanks to God that he is no longer punished for the child's sins (Genesis Rabba, Toldot 23:11). First of all, this 113-years old man is the citizen of my city Haifa. He claims the title at the age of 112 years and 178 days as of 11 March 2016, and was awarded his certificate at his home in Haifa, by Guinness World Records’ Head of Records Marco Frigatti.

He was born in Poland in 1903, started studying Hebrew on the age of three, and learning the Mishna, or Jewish laws, at six.However he missed out on the Jewish coming-of-age ceremony, historically marked when a boy turns 13, due to World Battle I.

Дело в том, что Исраэль Кристал родился в Польше в 1903 году, и с трёх лет начал изучать иврит и еврейские законы . еврейские законы. Тем не менее он пропустил обряд бар-мицвы по очень понятной причине - в это время как раз была Первая Мировая война.
My comments to this event
First of all I am very proud about this guy and very glad about his strong health. Let's take into account, that ecological situation in beautiful Haifa is very poor, because of the nearest to the city industrial zone. Anyway, this man gives some definite hopes not only to bloggers-stemians, but to usual citizens of Haifa too.

Начну с того, что я очень горжусь этим парнем и радуюсь его крепкому здоровью. Давайте при этом иметь в виду, что экологическая ситуация в красавице-Хайфе далеко не самая лучшая, спасибо ближайшей к городу промышленной зоне. Тем не менее, этот человек дает определенные надежды не только местным блоггерам-стимианцам, но и обычным жителям нашего замечательного города на светлое будущее.
