I just like to experiment with different stuff.
And since I code every day, I experiment with something that's not related so my brain has some diversity :)
What kind of coding are you doing (if you don't mind saying)?
Right now I'm working on my Internship project, which is coding a pipeline to compare Assembled metagenomics data (basicly genetic data comes in "unassembled" form, because we can't read the very long fragments dna is so to read it we duplicate it a LOT then cut it into lots of pieces in such a way we can "assemble" these pieces due to overlaps between the numerous copies).
Right now I'm using R to do some statistical work, a python library named NetworkX to convert my Blast results (basicly results from a tool that compares genetic sequences to see if they're similar or not) into a graph format, and then I'll try and use other tools to display these graphs.
The graphs themselves will serve to identify when two sequences assembled by 10 different tools are similar enough to be identical (AKA., all the tools are in agreement that those sequences are similar) and when they are similar according to, say only 2 tools out of 10.
It's relatively complicated, but I have another 2 months to work on it, and this should be done relatively fast.
The main work after that will be writing my analysis and conclusions in a scientific methodology paper, re-using that paper's contents (don't tell my teachers XP) to write my internship report, and then preparing for the 30-40 minute presentation that represents, with the written report, approx. 50% of the grade of my last year. XS
On the side, I'm also following a blockchain development course I managed to get a scholarship for (fo I don't have to pay the 1000 Euro registration fee... phew) professional blockchain development from ConsenSys Academy.
And on the side of THAT I'm doing all kinds of experiments for fun and (mostly through steemit) profit.
... I feel like I've never been more fulfilled, or busy, than these past 2 years in my Master degree.

A scientist and a gamer! And artist! It all sounds very interesting. There is just SO much to learn and a lifetime just doesn't seem like enough time. I would love to know about everything, but unfortunately, what I know is but a small fraction of knowledge about a small fraction of topics.
