STEEMIT GIRL HALO ~ Steemit Issue
I wrote a post a two weeks ago about Steemit having an issue and one a week ago Steemit issue and another one 4 days ago and here I am writing about it again this is getting old , I have been on Steemit since almost the beginning and the lack of being able to have a team of support people is getting old. Any reputable website has a support team and a team of people who fix issues. Why does Steemit not have this?
I have read in Steemit chat and in other post that Steemit does have a team of devs to solve problems. If this is true , why has these issues been going on for almost 3 weeks now?
These problems have been going on for almost three weeks , I know I am not the only one having these problems , if you are experiencing any of these problems and want to be heard and want an explanation PLEASE UP VOTE THIS POST AND LEAVE A COMMENT , none of the devs or anyone working for Steemit are going to see it unless it gets into trending.
This has to be killing new users , If I was a new user I would not be here very long , who wants to post on a website that you have to post your stuff 2-6 times before the website excepts it , and the site is so slow sometimes it takes up to a minute or more to take my upvote , then again sometime it does not take it at all. This is complete BS , I mean you really think Steemit will ever compete with Reddit or Facebook , with it being run like this. Do you think Reddit or Facebook would have let these problems go on for more then 24 hours.
I will be posting this everyday until , I get an explanation on what is going on and the problems are fixed.
I had to post one this morning 5 times before it would post and this is getting old . I now have to make a copy whenever I make a post in case it just vanishises so I can just cut and past it again or else i have to redo the whole post over this is not a good thing for Steemit
I agree this is getting old and is not a good thing for steemit .

It took me 37 minutes to post a post and a comment this morning , had to try 8 times on the comment and 6 on the post. I don't know how much longer I am going to be part of the Steemit community , I do not have this kind of time to waste. I know I am not the first to give up because of these issues and I won't be the last.

I do not have an account at esteem. Do you trust them with your password? Can you access you wallet on esteem?
I have trusted them but there are options to use different keys for different levels of access. And yes you can access your wallet on esteem (given the correct key).
I have used them for 3 months, with a much smaller wallet than you admittedly but I’ve had no issues.
I think steemit is different from facebook. On facebook, you get no reward. But i understand you.
On steemit you get no reward if your post isn’t actually posted. This is a serious issue and will kill any chance of mass adoption!
I know, but it does not change the fact that facebook and steemit are still very different. If anyone likes they can try facebook for any reward and see.
I am not comparing the difference of weather or not which one pays you or not. I am comparing the way the sites are managed , according to issues, and we could use any site no reputable site would let issues like this continue for 3 weeks.
Between these issues and the people having trouble signing up , there will never be mass adoption. I have seen people talking in steemit chat about how they have been waiting 2-6 weeks to get signed up, that process should take less then a minute. I used to love Steemit , and seen great things for it , but at this point I am becoming very discouraged , without the right management team and communication with the community it will never amount to anything .
And it all comes on top of the slightly fishy things going on at the top of the foodchain. Less visible than straight bugs and errors, or spam, but annoying nonetheless.
Still, there's always busy.org, which at least seems to be more stable and less erratic, but it is a strange idea to have to move away from steemit.com because Steemit Inc. has lost the plot when it comes to user experience, perceptions, priorities and competence.

I completely agree. I have been involved in crypto for 6 years and I when I found steemit I was excited but I had to wait 2 weeks to sign up. I nearly gave up. It was only the fact that I was really bored when my account came through that I actually bothered.
Crypto is sold as solving real life issues but if we take a working model (reddit etc) and then ruin it by taking weeks to sign up, no one will bother.
You are missing the point big time , if all these problems persist , there will not be anyone willing to buy your steem or it will be bought from you for pennies. Look at a chart of the steem price it has went from $1.44 on OCT 1st to $.99 today and will continue to drop until these issues are fixed.
Heh, You're right, this would really kill adoption by new people, I got the "bad gateway" before finding this post and it took me two tries to even vote for this post!
As others have said, different sites can still access the steem blockchain, busy.org etc. But not having the flagship website not being able to use it is really not good.

I have not trusted them with my password so I can't say. I'm not sure you can access the wallet either.
If wallet security was an issue, I think you can log in using your posting password.
Do you know of a way to access your steem wallet if the steem website was to ever go down for good? This has been on my mind alot lately.
Not at the moment, though if the other sites have access to the wallet, you should be able to use that as long you have the wallet password stored somewhere that isn't steemit.com.
I think a dev, or at least someone posting in the dev tag, is working on a client that will run on your PC rather than running it on the website as happens now.

So some people are working on the issue, and with a better solution than merely keeping one website up.
