Your garden looks like a lush, tropical jungle. Enjoy the fruits of your labour!

It is getting there. I noticed an orange tomatoe today and 4 small sweet pumpkins. Very soon I will actually have fruits!

Just think of all the mojitos you can make with that mint. Quite a variety of plants you're growing. Very different to what you were growing last year. I also think indoor plants are great for helping to clean the air. Do you name them?

I dry most of it for tea, but I'll buy the stuff to make mojitos during vacation.
My house trees have names: Palmy, changmo namu, Ava, and GoMoo. The plants are just refered to by their common names.

I name my house plants too, but Bob the coffee plant died this year when I was away on holiday. So sad :(

Sorry to hear about Bob. I've always wanted a coffee plant. Maybe in the fall or next spring as I have a pot that is being used for a pepper plant which definitely won't last through the winter.

Do you think it'll too late for me to plant some mint? By-the-way, have you found a planet on NextColony yet? I haven't :(

No planet yet and 140+ explorations.

Mint will grow unless the ground is frozen. Getting it started in summer is touchy. Maybe put it somewhere it will get partial shade during the worst of the day amd water it every evening until it is established and growig a lot. I just took around 15 clippings, Ill try to start them under the larger plants. I'm going to have barrels of mint tea.

Wow! That's all looking awesome!
Definitely if I compare with the slow growth of my own garden.
Nice work!

I'm at latitude 37 something so quite a ways south of the low countries.

Yes!! That is a jungle and you are doing great. So many neat veggies and herbs. Can’t wait to see you you manage to control all that foliage.

Thanks. I like the wild look actually. At my last garden there were rabbits goats and cows to feed foilage too. Here we just put it in piles. We need a goat or two.

What you can do is braise it with some apples and sugar... so delicious.
Quick recipe I found online

Ive got tomatoes top now.
Maybe Ill try that recipe. Also I plan on rpasting a pumpkin and stuffing it too!

I was born to garden. I grew up with parents who considered planting flowers, fruit trees and veggies a family activity.
At present I am landscaping a large section in my daughter's Johannesburg garden with water wise plants. In Spring it is going to be magnificent. It is wonderful how satisfying blocking sections for colour, texture and bee loving flowers (they have hives) is......educational for the family too who live hectic business and school loves.
I love your veggie garden extravaganza. Good work.

Thanks a lot. Unfortunately, I don't own the place so I must evacuate every winter. I will eventually get something that I can landscape and plant perennials and trees in.

wow! Everything looks amazing. You are much further ahead that we are in our cold climate. The mint looks so amazing. I've never managed to grow it to look like that!!

Thanks. It is a little warmer here and the greenhouse effect from hyper urbanization and vinyl helps.

I e had the mint bushes for around 5 years. I just dig up a nice clump and pot it every early winter, then it's out again in spring. I also spread it around later. I prefer to have mint coming up everywhere rather than weeds.
