Rise of Furia, a new map available on Paladins champions of the realm
Just when I thought things couldn’t get any crazier than it already is, then they brought in a new champion and a new map.
A day back was discussing if users would rather play on Beta stage or wait till official release and I related it to Paladins champions of the realm. Talked about some updates that were made few months back and how a new champion was introduced.
Well it seems same thing just happened as a new champion was released into the pc version, for some days now, have been watching some of the new trailers released via paladins Facebook page and a new character coming into the game, but little did I know a new map was about to be added as well.
When khan was introduced into paladins, a new map came with him as well but didn’t stay for long Ascension peak and although it didn’t stay for long before it was removed some special offer came with the map, offers you could only get when you partake a play as any champion on the map then.
The champion was randomly selected then, although it was based on 10 champions, so it was certain you either play as Lian or any other champion that was randomly selected then, but this new map its kind of similar and also different.
Similar in what way?
The automatic and random selection of character is still available, in other words player have no ability to pick their desired champion, rather it is automatically picked just like are it was on ascension peak then.
The game is based around a unique champion as well, a champion who came alongside this new map. So, back then it was khan, a defensive champion but this time it’s a little different, the champion is none other than Furia, a support champion.
The story behind her am yet to fully understand but what is certain is that she came with different and never before seen move, and its nearly if not impossible to pick and play with her, lol everyone want a piece of her, don’t think this will pass anytime soon.
Review of the new Map
Well this map is more like two different missions in one, and it is quit unique unlike any other mission/map that has been created/ developed before now.

Who is Furia?
She was a mortal who prayed to the gods for strength to avenge her fallen sister and to battle the abyss, the gods answered her prayer and she gained unimaginable strength, with this power she was able to rise once more and fight the abyss. At the end of the map, she rose and the warrior that stood at the peak of the map was defeated by her.
Now we said the map was unique when we started and it’s the first of its kind have seen. This is because Paladins is battle royal match were players get to battle each other to archive a goal, been it capture and move the car or kill the opposite team till a certain amount of time Deathmatch, now a situation where players are allowed to race to a certain point before allowed to battle each other its quite unique and more interesting.
The map start with players at the foot of a mountain, greeted by a demon who later flew to the top awaiting the champions.
At first, I initially thought we were to move up and battle this creature together, but then are would victory been drawn or which team would become victorious upon killing this creature?
Upon completion of the map, well it was totally different from my initial view and although the creature was still available upon getting to the top but it was not up to us to kill it and rather than an interesting battle with it, Furia flew up and blew it to oblivion upon completing the map.
Moving to the peak, you are faced with different challenges, challenges which involved invading of obstacles and jumping from one platform to another, picking a new item which I think will only be available until this map is removed, yea probably another temporary update as usual. The new item is called pyre blessings and according to the update it can be exchange for items which came alongside this new map.
pyre blessings are located at different points when climbing the abyss and can be collected by any team member, all you have to do is be the first to approach it and a notification would be shown to others that you found/collected a pyre blessing.
Although am yet to see and exchange point were the pyre blessing can be exchanged to, but it’s fun when you the first to collect them, so I rather stack up on them and wait till the use come around.
The abyss is quit tall and takes time to climb, personally I think there is no top and after certain amount of time, it starts to shrink and within few seconds you at the door step were a new mission awaits you.
So, like we earlier said, Rise of furia is like a two in one map, the first is climb the abyss and the second is a death match upon reach the top of the abyss.
A death match
Although there is a menu specifically for this, were players get to kill the opposite team until one team reaches the required point say 40, rise of furia as same objective after climbing the abyss and each team is made to battle each until one team reaches a desired point/amount of kills.
The map is available at the top of the abyss is more close unlike other map we been playing so far, hence getting a kill is not that difficult unless you a complete noob like me xd.
Unlike other maps were certain spots are available to hide and wait till your health is regenerated, the map provide little or none, due to its close proximity it becomes impossible or nearly impossible to evade the eyes of the opposite team, so its kill or be killed there is no room to hide.
Upon completing of the Deathmatch, a scene is shown were the champion Furia is seen to flew up and blast the demon who sits at the thrown of the abyss to oblivion, probably the abyss master and the victorious team is announced.
The update came with a lot more.

Awesome wright up of this! Always fun when a game you love puts out some amazing new content to get more life and enjoyment of the game.
That abyss gameplay sounds quite interesting, I really like how they could over time choose to scale it more from the sounds of it. As well as, when it ends they give you quick access to start another one from that door showing gup. A smart way of allowing a player to keep going without breaking there game play up to much even if you want hardcore grind it out.
Exactly the combination of two different gameplay makes it really interesting, first its a race to the top and the other a Deathmatch.
